Easy Automation with AA

What do you like best about the product?
Great product, very good security and safety features with fantastic customer service. Exciting roadmap of new features and products. We have been able to find awesome RPA solutions in house and used AA's support throughout the way. It was definitely a rocky path but definitely seeing some good results out of this initiative.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to arrive at root cause for all the issues that occur while using AA and also not all are reproducable
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Repetitive processes in the finance area which has to do with a lot of reconciliations by extracting data from multiple sources and applying some business rules .

What do you like best about the product?
it has a large number of commands available, friendly interface
What do you dislike about the product?
I had problems connecting to the control room in trial version, i hope it gets better with the new community edition
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am testing the tool, using connection with database, insertion, update and also data scraping
Recommendations to others considering the product:
take advantage of the vast library of commands, test the new community version, and use autimation university to learn more about the tool.

What do you like best about the product?
The drag and drop features are easy to master. The commands are very powerful and when used correctly can make light work of the biggest and most mundane tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automation Anywhere dependency on the Internet Explorer makes web commands a bit clunky and prone to breaking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing manpower now used to complete simple repeatable data entry and transformation. Or team is giving back hundreds of hour back to the organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Automation Anywhere is great to use but take the time to train yourself.

What do you like best about the product?
Development is easy to learn and consistently works without a high degree of configuration or parameterization being required, though all the additional complexity is there if you need it. This was the major differentiator in my opinion vs other RPA tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
3rd party vendors doing the implementation support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are deploying Automation Anywhere enterprise-wide via a hybrid model (CoE supporting federated developers, but cherry picking good candidates from across the organization to develop within the CoE)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of their willingness to do a proof of concept. Choose a process with enough ROI to make it worth while to starting an engagement and that can be automated during a few days. Automation Anywhere will dedicate a developer to not only build the bot for you, but prior get them to give you the Bots in Business training and go through all 20 or so hours of it before the POC, so you can follow along and make them coach you through developing it yourself at the same time.

Do the same with another vendor. Our experience was that in three days the two developers that UIPath sent couldn't automate what the 1 developer from Automation Anywhere was able to do in one day. Was a very clear choice from there, given that both were given an equal playing field, though noteworthy that Automation Anywhere sent their own developers, whereas UIPath used a 3rd party contractor.

What do you like best about the product?
Integration with other platforms like SAP and salesforce are seamless and the workflow processes are quick which reduces custom code for integration.

Platform independent deployment makes it easy to run on any operating system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support for older versions of products such as IE is restricted.

Limited licenses restricts the number of runners and creators for BOT's.

Troubleshooting the bots with complex applications like SAP and mainframe is difficult.

BOT recording is a tiresome process and needs high amount of manual intervention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supply chain management, CRM, Purchase order processing, CRM support for customer issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
a better understanding of the application which uses automation anywhere is crucial for implementing automation anywhere. All the parties should be onboarded and taken into confidence that the product is for reducing the mundane tasks so that employees can work on more productive work.

Moving in the right direction

What do you like best about the product?
AA continues to improve the tool and the user experience based on input from customers.There is definitely a focus on getting it right.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's the nature of software, but the attentiveness to customers also results in upgrades, which result in testing. However seems like we'll be on this current version for a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to remove manual business processes such as data transfer and reporting from the people, and move them onto the bot. We were able transition new work into the teams by increasing bot capacity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it... actively reach out to AA and be sure to leverage your Customer Success Manager and the whole AA team.

What do you like best about the product?
The AA Learning university is an awesome program that helps you to master the creation and management of the Automation Anywhere RPA.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I've found that has caused concern or dislike of this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation Anywhere allows me to automate the tasks that were very mundane. The benefit of a comprehensive execution of those tasks through robotic automation is a game changer.

What do you like best about the product?
We have had great success using automation anywhere to act as a bridge between multiple database systems and applications to create synergy and reduce the need for manual processing as well as increased accuracy. This has enabled us to re-deploy resources and workers to more strategic positions as well as review processes that have been normalized and automated to ensure that they are done right and that other problems that were occluded by the hidden factory and rework are becoming addressed.
