Reliable network routing enhances connectivity, but data protection needs attention

What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of Sophos XG is its routing and network routing capabilities. I particularly appreciate the routing capabilities that Sophos XG has.
What needs improvement?
There is room for improvement in the cybersecurity and personal information protection areas of Sophos XG.

I have been using Sophos XG for about seven years.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The initial setup was complex, but since our last conversation, I am happy with what I have.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I rate the stability of Sophos XG as nine out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would rate the scalability of Sophos XG at about an eight.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support directly from Sophos is not that great, which is why I had to employ a local company that deals with it more to assist me.

I used a different solution before Sophos XG, but it did not provide the routing capabilities that Sophos XG has, which is why I switched.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Sophos XG was complex, but after our last conversation, I am content with the product.
What about the implementation team?
As an end user, I am not involved in the installation process.
What was our ROI?
The problem with the return on investment for Sophos XG is the three-year license. The license fees are extremely expensive, and in most cases, once the license has expired, Sophos requires the purchase of new hardware if one decides to run it online, which is a major drawback.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Sophos XG is extremely expensive compared to other products, but its capabilities warrant the cost. However, the three-year license fees are significantly high.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I looked between Sophos and FortiGate before deciding on Sophos XG.
What other advice do I have?
Based on my experience, I would recommend Sophos XG to other people. The overall rating I would give this solution is seven.

Sophos firewall offers a wide range of features. Its user-friendly interface makes management and configuration easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slow response times for support at times.

The Sophos Firewall is safeguarding sensitive data, blocking malicious software, preventing unauthorized access, detecting suspicious activities and preventing intrusive attacks.

Synchronized security, a core feature of Sophos products, is unmatched when it comes to robust multi-layered security of endpoints and networks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of a secure mobile app to be able to remotely manage firewalls can be a constraint sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall provides a 360 set of threat management and protection capabilities that are far more powerful than other solutions when it works integrated with other Sophos products like endpoint protection, switches, APs.
Sophos Firewall: Robust and Seamless
What do you like best about the product?
The Sophos Firewall has some of the best security features. It has multiple avenues of support. It also has a great user friendly system that syncs up with Sophos central.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost vs other competitors could be better and small Sophos central navigation hiccups are the only negative thoughts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall helps us implement security and continuity in our business which takes a lot of the legwork out of some issues.

It is extremely sophisticated and simplistic at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI can be tricky for inexperienced admins.

Mitigating modern malicious threat vectors and other attacks, protecting company data and employee information.

The stability of the system and the continuous firmware updates to keep it always at the forefront

The lack of a massive import of settings via file

Protect our network from external attacks and manage access to systems in a timely and precise manner.
Wide organization control
What do you like best about the product?
Mobile section allows my team to fully control our devices despite their different location and utility purpose. Our company has a wide territory extension handling different activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mailbox investigation gets annoying. Recovering a quarantined mail requires to much time.

Blocks unwanted traffic which does not require further interaction.

Everything is very comprehensive, it allows you to manage very easily and is intuitive. Easy to implement.

Nothing, it allows you to manage very easily and is intuitive.

Firewall is a great product in a larger overall solution
What do you like best about the product?
In addition to the reliable firewall basics, the remote user vpn options at no additional cost makes this a solid choice for any business. The cloud management and local management ease access anywhere. Filtering websites or countries, or the many predefined threat patterns is simple to implement. Very advanced for the cost, great value.
What do you dislike about the product?
More AI smart alerting and issue detection is likely in the roadmap. It would improve the abundant logs for review.
