AI-Driven Test Automation That’s Fast, Intuitive, and Low-Maintenance
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Tricentis Testim is its AI-driven approach to test automation, which significantly reduces the effort needed to maintain test scripts over time. The smart locators can automatically adapt to UI changes, which saves time and helps avoid unnecessary test failures. I also find the interface intuitive, making it easy to create tests quickly, even for users with limited coding experience. On top of that, fast execution and detailed reporting make it easier for teams to spot issues early and improve overall testing efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Tricentis Testim is a powerful tool, there are still a few areas where it could improve. Pricing can be relatively high, particularly for smaller teams or organizations working with limited budgets. Some advanced customization options feel restricted at times, which can be frustrating for experienced automation engineers. Also, although the basics are straightforward to pick up, becoming proficient with the more advanced features and optimization techniques takes time and typically requires proper onboarding or training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tricentis Testim solves the problem of high test maintenance caused by frequent UI changes. Its AI-powered locators reduce flaky tests and minimize rework, saving valuable QA time. The tool also accelerates regression testing, allowing faster release cycles without compromising quality.
Tricentis Testim Review
What do you like best about the product?
UI and end to end automation is very easy and fast to build and maintain. It saves a lot of time because you can record test and play them back without much effort. The tool handles changes smartly, integrates well with slack and jira/Trello, allows reuse of test steps, and the support team is fast and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI could be easier to use, and for complex scenarios you sometimes need to write custom code. There isn't full visibility into all network logs, some tests can be flaky during reruns, and the pricing feesls a high

It greatly reduces the effort needed to maintain automation. we were able to set up automation much faster than with standard selenium, which helped us release faster and achieve better test coverage.

proprietary trap
What do you like best about the product?
The sales pitch about the holy grail of record and playback is totally impressive, however in reality it's only useful 50 percent of the time, the rest of the time you have to spend it fixing the gaps that the tool doesn't fix. . The reality is that the tests do not heal themselves under any circumstance, neither with AI nor ML or image deeplearning or any other fashionable tool, they can try but always sacrificing more time and not necessarily obtaining the expected result.
What do you dislike about the product?
The generated code cannot be exported. The integration with github is unidirectional, that is, you can only import information from github to testim. You can't change provider.it is difficult to create custom components. the tests created are fragile and do not always work (flaky test). many results are generated as false positives. Currently it is not a scalable solution for mobile devices, for now it is only possible to use your own mobile devices. Code reuse is not easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the fact of avoiding writing code
It has not benefited me at all, since I need to create even more complex code to fill in the imperfections and deficiencies of testim, so every time I give effort and knowledge which is hidden for anyone else who might need it.
