Helps me plan patient follow ups and content work in one schedule
What do you like best about the product?
I work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content. I tried Float.com to plan my clinic work and content work in one place. I created small projects for patient follow-ups and content planning, and blocked time for things like diet notes and patient guidance. This helped me see how my day is split between clinic work and content work.
The calendar view made it easy to place work into time blocks. When clinic timings changed, I could just drag the blocks and adjust the schedule instead of planning again from start. This is useful because clinic timings change often.
The first setup was simple and did not take much time. I could start using it without doing anything complicated and plan my week in a simple way.
I also liked keeping clinic work and content work in separate projects. It made my routine work easier to manage and did not feel heavy to use. So Overall, it helped me plan my work in a more organized way.

What do you dislike about the product?
One small thing I noticed is that when I was adding my first project and time blocks, I had to click around a bit to find the right options. It is not confusing, but the first setup takes a little time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Float.com, it was hard to clearly see how much time was going into clinic work and how much time was going into content work. Things were planned in different places, so it was easy to miss or overlap tasks.

Great for Timesheets, but Silent Logouts Can Stop Time Submissions
What do you like best about the product?
It's great for logging timesheets and keeping on top of work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I log time, the browser session is logged out but the interface is still present within the browser window. So it doesn't get submitted. I only find out it hasn't when our PM says "You haven't logged your time!" and I say "Erm, yes I did!". Frustrating.

Allowing me to log piecemeal pieces of work.

Easy planning of different tasks and easy to change / assign tasks to different people. Sometimes it crashes though

Helping our team allocate resources more efficiently, in line with the needs of different projects
Easy to Switch Between Projects and People on the Report Screen
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can move in and out of different projectes or people fairly quickly on the Report screen. I am a people manager as well as an individual contributor, so I have to balance views of multiple schedules and it is very easy for me to move around to get to what I need quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not understand the Schedule page at all. The team member that is the "owner" of Float is able to look at it and know exactly what is going on, but the screen is overwhelming and I cannot make sense of it. I also really struggle when logging time, if I accidently bump my mouse or move in an incorrect way, it will log all of the time for that day even though it is not accurate. I wish there was a way to undo that when it happens.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an agency that works with billable time, it allows us to track time usage and do future capacity planning. Its really great to be able to have a tool that can do that and not rely on spreadsheets that get frequently ruined.

Float Makes Daily Scheduling a Smooth, User-Friendly Process
What do you like best about the product?
I use Float every day and it is a very user friendly system making it a smooth process

Float is helping solve where my time is going i.e. which departments as well as tracking different tasks
Clear Business Bandwidth Visualisation That Aligns Teams Fast
What do you like best about the product?
I find the visualisation of total business bandwidth really useful, especially when I’m working with different departments. It makes it much easier to understand overall capacity at a glance and align expectations across teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d like the ability to store budget information that relates to the overall project rather than to an individual role. For example, travel budgets associated with the project.

In a fast-moving business, I find that Float helps keep us fluid and able to adapt.
Messy Interface and Limited Features Make the Day-to-Day Breakdown Unclear
What do you like best about the product?
The schedule visualization makes it easy to get a quick overview and see everyone’s schedule at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
It feels a bit messy overall, and the features are somewhat limited for me as a user. The day-to-day breakdown also isn’t very clear, which makes it harder to use on a regular basis.

It helps keep me aware of which project I’m working on from day to day, so I can stay organized and focused.
Schedule & Project Plan Page Makes Planning 50+ Employees Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The schedule and project plan page, which we use to plan over 50 employees
What do you dislike about the product?
it's hard to link logged time to tasks in our issue-tracking tool. So employees need to add that manually as comments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to plan all our projects and employees for the next month/year. So it replaced an old excel-sheet and our timelog-tool at once.
Great Visibility into Colleagues’ Tasks and Working Locations
What do you like best about the product?
Able to see colleague's tasks. Add my own and see people's working locations.
What do you dislike about the product?
That group admin needs to be made transparent so we can contact them easily
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to see colleague's daily capacity and manage my time if i need something from them. Whether they're busy or not. I can plan accordingly. also see when they're off.
