Great Scheduling too
What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely simple and provides an amazing overview of your team's capacity, schedule and workload
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit difficult to reschedule activities and there is no option to temporarily increase or decrease the availability of a team member
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an agency with ~20 operative consultants and PMs. With Float we manage their project assignments and workload.
We also report on billable vs. internal hours

There are a few quirks you need to learn around project / client naming.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly scheduling resources / people for projects. We're a small team and things change quickly so our scheduling tool needs to be quick and flexible.
Excellent app, easy to use and essential in our resource management
What do you like best about the product?
The easiest to use, easiest to train new starters on part of our software stack. Float just works, every time, without any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to report here - one of the best and most reliable software services that we have today.

A part of our own development phase
What do you like best about the product?
As a developer the sidetracking is easy. So we've got engineers but instead Float. Float doesn't only help me remember track of what I'm doing and what I can do it, and that also lets me keep count as to what other coworkers do. Particularly now, because homeschooling is indeed the new standard, it's very easy to test if one of my teammates is busy, and whether they may have any room from my. It all without installing 20 filters, and handling a complicated UI. Hover seems to have all the functionality in almost all of the right positions but also manages to retain a UI that looks lightweight.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the integration of this software with our time sheet tool might be more valuable. Refreshing the page may sometimes induce several other documentation to go lost. Many more than all these sites, I don't think Float lacks user interface but had been of benefit to the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the things that we would want to see is various budget rencies that are accessible on the same squad. You should have only cryptocurrency per person at the moment with several teams. This is not practical because we'd have folks on various applications and can be currency exchanges, but that would make things wrong.
Float in a digital agency
What do you like best about the product?
easy to use, easy to understand, customer journey is really good, lots of functions, easy and good design, intuitive, good service, scheduling is easy and viewable
What do you dislike about the product?
you can tag a project as billable but you cant tag single tasks as billable or not. i would like to have the opportunity to tag every single tasks as billable or not. also, if you have small tasks with 1h or 2h for all of your people, you really have to spend a lot of time to maintenance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
long term planning is really good with float and you can also use great report functions. iits a very easy way for everyone to see how people are scheduled
Decent time tracking software
What do you like best about the product?
- It helps the management plan better for future projects
- Especially where there are multiple concurrent projects and time is split into unpredictable chunks between multiple team members.
- We use time budgets to ensure we aren't going over

What do you dislike about the product?
- Percent of time budget used is not obvious from the Log Time screen
- On more than one occasion it has led to surprises, we didn't realise we had exceeded the budget till it was too late

Good Ressource Planning Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Float is a good tool for resource planning. It enables us to allocate our personnel effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The missing sum function in the daily planning is annoying. Especially with many parallel running projects the schedule view can become confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning our workforce, higher utilization rate
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Nice tool for effective Ressource Management
Helped to automate our scheduling for the team
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is really easy to use and onboard the team onto. It's very clear, searchable and the reporting features suit what we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment it doesn't allow you to schedule pockets of work not yet confirmed, acting as a placeholder (if it goes over a person's total hours in a day) - you need to use a separate track (paid license) to do that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes schedule documents quicker being able to block out and drag and drop tasks
Very useful product for our team
What do you like best about the product?
Since we started using Float we don't have to care about out allocation on each project, in our team we have many projects and sometimes it was very difficult to inform each time every person it the team that today his assignment has changed, but Float makes this process much easier
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, I don't see any big disadvantages in this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Projects allocation, since we have many employees who works on several projects.
