User-Friendly Platform, Highly Recommend
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Float because it is significantly easier and better than the Excel sheets we used in previous agencies for scheduling and managing tasks. I appreciate how user-friendly and intuitive Float is, making it an efficient platform without any confusion. The color scheme and job numbers provide a very clear overview of daily tasks, which I find extremely helpful in identifying the specific client I am working for and managing the time I allocate to different projects. Additionally, I enjoy the ability to adjust my schedule dynamically, which keeps my team and clients informed about my workload and the time needed for project completion. This transparency and ease of communication with the team are invaluable. Float has never caused us any problems despite our agency having more than 40 employees, and I receive timely notifications of schedule changes directly in Microsoft Outlook. This reliability and seamless integration enhance our workflow, allowing us to operate smoothly as a large team. Overall, Float's combination of clarity, ease of use, and reliable performance motivates me to highly recommend it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the report section in Float not particularly useful for creatives like me. It would be more effective if there was an integrated section tailored specifically for creatives, perhaps offering an overview of projects' progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float gives me a clear overview of daily projects using color schemes and job numbers, making schedule management intuitive. Being easy to use, it enhances my efficiency, and seamless notification integration with Microsoft Outlook ensures I'm always updated on schedule changes.
Easy Time Logging and Helpful Reports, But Budget By Task and Other Tweaks Needed
What do you like best about the product?
Time logging is easy, reports tab is helpful once you learn how to use it, the calendar integration is helpful (except when it goes rogue and sometimes duplicates entries), the help community on slack.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little visibility/support to see budget by task (Budget by task doesn't roll up into phase in the report tab) and allocate accordingly (having to do maths/guesswork to put an allocation across several days that matches the budgeted time - would love to be able to select multiple days and put the total number, and then have it calculate how long that is for each day), having to manually schedule in a whole project when each project has very similar durations and lengths of time (would love a one-click "allocate" where it just shows up in sequence and by length in my schedule), the random "your schedule may be out of date" messages that lose my most recent attempted log. The "overtime" concept is also not super helpful for us- would much prefer it be able to report across a week or a month (and balance out with lower-logged days) rather than only add up the days where more than 7.5 hours have been worked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time tracking and project management, high level reporting of both.
Great Slack Integration, But Limited Instant Update Options
What do you like best about the product?
Relayed updates via email and Slack, Great user interface
What do you dislike about the product?
That the only other means of getting instant updates is via Slack, or email (not so instant)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping abreast of what jobs are upcoming
Intuitive and Organized, But Needs Persistent Sorting Preferences
What do you like best about the product?
I find float very well organized and intuitive. I appreciate that I can sort by department.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate if Float would open my "sort by" selection every time I launch the site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float solves the problem of not knowing the project number, as it requires that field. It also helps with observing schedule conflicts.
Effortless Attendance Tracking That Saves Time
What do you like best about the product?
The easy access to attendance records helps employees save time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints about Float; everything works smoothly and meets my expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple projects in one place is made easier with Float.
Excellent Scheduling and Project Planning, But Some Drawbacks
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Float is its scheduling and project planning features. I find it very straightforward to manage tasks among various employees and to set milestones, which makes organizing projects much easier. The implementation was super easy, in less than 3 days I was already using it with my team's tasks, and I have been using it every day, I can plan the schedule of the entire week and month, I can even add freelancers to the schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not satisfied that the financial report displays a graph for only one project, rather than providing information for multiple projects with their respective budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float has helped resolve the scheduling issues I faced when I was unsure how much time my team spent on each task. Now, assigning tasks to any team member is much simpler. I appreciate being able to set budgets, define rates, and monitor financial margins directly within the platform. When a schedule breaks down, I can plan in advance how long things will take, review milestones, and each team member is able to update their own time entries.
Easy Time Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to track time and add notes for specific projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be nice if it was easier to see an overview of each project - the current interface is a bit busy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Shows workflow for entire team. Easy to glance and see who is over/under resourced.
Effortless Task Management, Essential for Daily Team Use
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use! Makes things very clear for a company to see who is assigned what. Our team references daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had a couple issues in the past, admittedly I can't remember right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us look at who is available for company needs.
Simple and Clear UI, But Time Display Needs Fixing
What do you like best about the product?
The app stands out for its simplicity of use and the visual clarity of its user interface. Navigating through the features feels straightforward, and the clean design makes it easy to find what I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a discrepancy in the time displayed between the PC and the mobile app. On the PC, the time shows as 8:30, which is eight and a half hours, but on the mobile app, it appears as 8:50. This inconsistency can be confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to create visual reports that help me clearly see where I spend the most time and where I have some extra time available.
Effortless Workload Tracking, Minor Calendar Frustrations
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to track workload and see team's workload as well. Pretty intuitive interface and can be accessed via web anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
Splitting project time on the calendar can be a bit cumbersome if you've added a whole week and then need to split it into separate days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows our managers to see who is overloaded and who is light.
