Very difficult to use
What do you like best about the product?
Logs time as basis for discussion with manager
What do you dislike about the product?
Impossible to enter time in decimal format such as XX.Y No quick entry using mouse and drop down. When logging time, date changes from whatever is on screen to current week. This creates entry errors which are impossible to correct after discovery

What do you like best about the product?
I love how simple the planning process is, and the user interface is very intuitive. Overall, the product is great despite the points I mentioned in the "dislike" section. I hope the product team considers this feedback and includes some of these features in future updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no option to specify the cost for a resource, as there is no dedicated field for this purpose.
The integrations are limited due to API design:
For example, if you need to retrieve allocations for the current week, you also receive data for previous periods, requiring manual calculations to determine the actual allocations.
For instance, if project A starts in week 32 with resource X allocated for 8 hours a day, and you expand the schedule to week 35 in the UI, fetching the allocation for week 34 should return 40 hours for resource X on project A. However, the API returns allocations for weeks 32-35 combined, leaving you to calculate the actual hours.
There’s no option for forecasting or scenario modeling. For example, if you want to try out different ways to distribute resources for the next quarter and see the financial impact before finalizing the plan, this feature is missing.
There’s no way to "lock" previous planning periods and make them read-only. It’s easy to accidentally make changes, like deleting a resource allocation from a past period, which can lead to mistakes in your reports

Room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
it helps my organization know where and how I am allocating my time
What do you dislike about the product?
Editing the time that has been logged is unnecessarily difficult. when you move the start time the end time also changes, so either you log hours without proper time allocation or spend 20 minutes trying to get the log right. Also, adding manual logs for circumstances like forgetting to press play is complicated and does not allow for a specific time of the day allocation only for the sum of time.

is clear for my company and boss to know how much time every project takes to do

What do you like best about the product?
Float is highly user-friendly, making it a top choice for teams needing efficient scheduling. Its intuitive interface allows users to easily navigate through project timelines, assign tasks, and adjust schedules with drag-and-drop functionality. The visual layout provides a clear overview of team availability and workload, reducing the complexity of resource management. Additionally, Float integrates seamlessly with other tools, and its real-time updates ensure everyone stays on the same page. The simplicity of setting up and modifying schedules, coupled with its responsive design, makes it accessible and efficient for both small teams and larger organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of using Float is that its notifications are not instant, which can be frustrating when quick updates are needed. In a fast-paced work environment, timely notifications are crucial to ensure that everyone stays aligned with the latest changes or new task assignments. The delay in receiving these notifications can lead to missed updates, confusion, or even scheduling conflicts. While Float excels in many areas, the lag in notification delivery can be a significant drawback, especially for teams that rely on real-time communication to keep projects on track.
