Very happy with Float
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to track availability and schedules of a lot of staff. This way I can easily find help on projects when needed and know who will be out of the office.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Float is very easy to navigate, the only problem is when people are not updating regularly. I wish there was a reminder feature so people were updating at the same frequency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted an easy centralized place to see what staff were busy, when people were out for field work and time off. We also use it when preparing for a project to see what staff is available. It has been working great.

What do you like best about the product?
Its interface. It is super easy to use. My team loves it and It is super convinient for me. Makes me managing and tracking their time/schedule easily without any complicated operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, so far absolotely nothing. It has been such a convinient tool for me and my team to use and I haven't found anything better yet. Nothing that comes to my mind as of now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is super convinient and easy for me to manage my team member's hours spent and plan their schedule .

Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
You can filter down by project, title, names. You can also add details of the team members (what team they belong to, direct report or even simple tags like experience level)
What do you dislike about the product?
When you assign a team member to a project, and they need to work different hours in different weeks, you have to create an entry for each segment. E.g. 3hrs/day in Q1 and 4hrs/day in Q2, and then the same in Q3 and Q4, you need to create 4 different entries. It gets complicated if you program by week.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I know the team members capacity and if they can be staffed on other projects

A single panel of glass into what my group/team is working on now and what is upcoming.

sometimes the permissions get a little confusing

Seeing who is working on what and for which squad. As this is planned into the future, we can discuss upcoming work early.

At first, it takes time to plan but after that life is easy:) You can quickly manage resource in this tool

So far nothing. I am still exploring, maybe in the future, I will come up with suggestions as on my user experience.

Very quick, effortless time logging experience
What do you like best about the product?
time logging is very straightforward - I like the projected time feature that sets you up to speed. It is also easy to adjust the log if something changed that week.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit overwhelming for other features that I actually do not need to see or use, but nevertheless they are there. It would be great to have an option to hide the feautres that I don't use.

It definitely solves the need to go back to work calendar and see what tasks were done where, especially when logging time on the weekly basis. It also helps that time slot expands with just a simple stretch of the window.

Easy to log time and create analysis around time spent and focus areas.

Honestly I haven't found anything yet that doesn't work well!

Time tracking is tough, and float makes it much easier.

Being able to use color schemes for all blocks.
Easy access for users and easy to add new users when needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Blocks are really big and take up the whole screen. If I want to see the whole team i have to zoom out so far that I am not able to read the blocks annymore. This makes working with Float difficult in some situations to match schedules.

Creating rosters for the team if they have early or late shift, or working from home or the office.

Great for seeing how busy my team is and ensuring everyone is assigned to billable work
What do you dislike about the product?
When dealing with lots of small projects and activities, the view gets quickly crowded, it doesnt easily provide a summary view. The reporting is hard to understand initially.

Managing multiple teams and global resources a large volume of projects.

Inability to add pass thru expenses to a project.

It's our time tracking software and it is our reporting tool to check project health.
