Great for managing team schedule and keeping everyone busy without overwelming anyone
What do you like best about the product?
The Float Scheduling tool is an effective solution for managing team schedules and workloads. It allows for a clear view of both current and future projects, ensuring that everyone is occupied without being overwhelmed. The tool is particularly useful for our weekly 30-minute meetings, where we review what each team member is working on for the week and assess long-term project planning. This approach helps maintain balanced workloads and enhances overall team productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Float Scheduling is an effective tool for managing team schedules and workloads, I wish there were additional features for developing custom reports. The ability to generate tailored reports would enhance our ability to analyze team performance, track project progress, and make more informed decisions based on specific needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Float primarily for managing the schedules and workloads of our 10-person team. The tool helps us allocate resources efficiently, monitor current tasks, and plan for upcoming projects. By doing so, we ensure that each team member is engaged without being overwhelmed, and we maintain a clear view of both short-term and long-term project timelines.

It's easy to use as my manager can set straight forward yet specific categories

I can't set daily repeated tasks, only weekly

I am using Float on my business laptop, however, my account is very often requires my to re-perform log-in procedure.

Creates visibility on who is doing what.
Easy to edit and easy to read.

I like the interface and the easy at which you can add and edit entries. I use it everyday and it provides a good visual when planning your schedule and your teams schedules

I find the intergration with Jira a bit difficult at times but I am working on it.

Keeping track of how much time is spent on each project for billing and tracking where time is being spent outside client work,

Allows full visibility of team and allocated time.

Sometimes color coding can be difficult to understand for new starters, copy and pasting difficult

Allows me to manage my engineers times, allowing easier billing and client visibility.
Awesome tool for super quick workflow

Float made it easy to track time on projects and made my workflow more then 5 times faster then it was!

Not a dislike, but if there is something that i would like to see, is that if i log time, it would automatically take the last project i've worked on.

It solves the problem of unclear communication about resource and work management

not always clear as a user which events we can edit and which we can't.

Resource Management
A solid project management tool for a designer
What do you like best about the product?
Logging time is super easy and clear, nice seamless process across the week. I only really use it to do that, around once a week but that's because it makes it easy. I haven't felt the need to have it integrated in any other apps. It's also worked without issue, so I haven't needed customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes find it difficult to juggle tasks around before I log them, if I've completed things on different days etc

Allows me to know what I'm working on for each day, easily — and what tasks are coming up
I am satisfied with Float. I appreciate that it allows for clear and efficient resource planning.

Very simple Drag&Drop + Jira integration

I miss the possibility to create a Jira ticket in Float.

We are working on many projects on which many people and teams work together at the same time. Thanks to Float, all managers can see in one place what the team's workload is planned for a longer period in advance.
