Using Float has been a seamless and productive experience for me.
What do you like best about the product?
Float offers an intuitive interface, making team scheduling and project tracking a breeze. The real-time updates and integrations have significantly improved our workflow efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Float is largely beneficial, I wish there were more customization options for visual themes. However, its core functionalities remain unmatched.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float addresses the challenges of resource allocation and team scheduling in a dynamic environment. By providing a clear visual representation of tasks and availability, it eliminates double bookings and over-allocations. This has streamlined our project management process, ensuring that every team member is effectively utilized without being overwhelmed. As a result, our team's productivity has increased, and we can deliver projects on time with greater consistency.
Great Experience!
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to see my whole team's capacity at a glance, and getting insights in the form of reports is always really useful when conducting end-of-year reviews with team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish non-admin users could have better control of their own time, and be able to add and edit projects. We are not a team that micromanages our employees' tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking the capacity of our team members is what we use Float for the most. It would be hard to show our stakeholders when were are at full capacity (or, in the other hand, when we are available) if we didn't have this visual tool to back up our data with.
Float: Elevating Enterprise Time Management
What do you like best about the product?
From the moment I was introduced to Float, I was impressed by its intuitive interface. The platform is visually appealing, making it easy for users of all tech levels to navigate and understand. This is crucial for a tool that is meant to be used across various departments in an enterprise.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Float could improve is the ability to move time events to different days. While the current drag-and-drop functionality is excellent for intra-day adjustments, extending this feature to allow for moving events across different days would make the platform even more versatile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of Float's standout features is its real-time scheduling. This ensures that teams are always on the same page, reducing the chances of overbooking or under-utilizing resources. The drag-and-drop functionality is a game-changer, allowing for quick adjustments and easy visualization of team availability.
Great
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy and fun to use. Stylish and useable.
What do you dislike about the product?
A minor detail is the fact that when registering, it's very common to register the hours in the wrong week. I keep assuming I'm in the current week, but it automatically switches to a different week every once in a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation and useability have made a dull task more enjoyable. Clear reporting helped giving insights in the project.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resourse management to plan ahead and ensure people dont overwork
A well balanced system which combines ease of use and richness of features
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use - specially the switching of my view vs company view
Also, the color coding used in the scheduling view is very good
Another good feature is to add multiple holidays/events on a single date, which caters to users working in different locations

What do you dislike about the product?
When in the scheduling view, if the project name is long, and if a resource is assigned to it for a long period, on some weeks, the middle part of the project name is not visible. Only the first 15 or so and the last few characters are visible. This should be corrected.
Also, I would like improvents in the view and functionality in the scenario when a resource is assigned to multiple projects on a single day or has a few hours off and not a full day off

What do you dislike about the product?
Drill down reporting - specifically with translating work hours to work days and excluding tentative time - could be finessed.
Assigning time budget at task level - or grouping tasks into phases would be a nice feature. Currently phases are visual milestones only.

Simple PM software with room to grow
What do you like best about the product?
Float is by far the easiest project management software i've ever used. It provides reliable organisation, tagging and staffing needs that any user can quickly use and adapt to. What I like about Float compared to other software is it focuses on the work week versus project allocation budgets. Adjustments on time blocking, swapping staff, project codes and details are intuitive and minimal clicks. I find this is a well-rounded tool for group timesheet scheduling, holidays, isolating project milestones and holidays to our internal intranet so it complies with our data regulations.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) I often find I/or someone on the team has made edits, they open an existing Float tab or present the pre-loaded Float screen and the changes are not shown. Screen re-loads are not always automatic, which is very frustrating when every manager may need to check the schedule 8-10 times a day and make edits. I don’t have time to also check with every person in the team if the changes are shown and they might need to refresh the screen. There should be constant automatic refreshing for all cloud based apps.
2) When moving a blocks of time sometimes people use larger than 1 week timeframes and editing requires re-building all other weeks after. There should be a quick split or clip function so I don’t need to rebuild 8 weeks if a person only puts 1 block of time start to finish.
3) When adjusting time blocks close to weekends Float always grabs the Saturday or Sunday block instead of the project block and extends everyones weekend on Float and notifies everyone even if you change it back quickly. Weekends/holidays should more locking functions that don’t allow this to happen.
4) We use Float in our weekly catch-up and screen share. When sharing the view is not presented as well as it could be with large scales taking up most of the screen. There should be a presentation mode, collapsed nav bar or way to highlight per person as we go through staffing.

Staffing and continious updates so all memeber have a collborative online view. Removed the need for a physical staffing board that would always be outdated by the end of the day
Makes planning ahead and setting daily tasks so easy

Can't think of any downsides! It's a great software for the workplace
