Solid product for managing employee schedules and time reports

- Inconsistent realtime updates when editing data together with others
- Weird behavior for inputs into the schedule (hours affects days, days affects hours)

Float made time tracking easy.
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the custom tracking categories and the team schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
Float has had one or two bugs over my time using the platform, but they were promptly fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float allows us to track our time on specific projects while getting insights into resource allocation.
A very useful tool to manage resources
What do you like best about the product?
The leads of our team use Float to manage the allocation of their resouces and share the planning with the head of department. It's very easy and intuitive to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no major issues — sometimes it lags when amending the allocation but that's all that comes to my mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without Float, it wasn't easy to be aligned on who was doing what. Float makes it easy to manage the time of the resources, know who is overloaded and who is not, and make sure that the work is well distributed among everyone.
Super simple timesheet solution
What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy to use, without any bloat.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike, but the UX could be even better if I could set a default view. I only really use float for the 'log time' page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I complete my weekly timesheet in float and I can see when my SOWs are stopping or starting thanks to my admin.
Easy to use once all projects have been uploaded
What do you like best about the product?
I like the use of different colours to really separate different tasks. I also like how great the recurring 'task' features are!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a better drag and drop function. I would find this very useful instead of needing to go in to tasks to change the date.

Float allows me to plan my day really well - I have uploaded all my clients thta I will use time to work on and I therefore use it as a planning tool rather than management.

Float offers a comprehensive and intuitive interface that greatly simplifies resource management and scheduling. The live view of data on people, projects, hours, and budgets is incredibly helpful in ensuring accurate information and forecasting project delivery. I particularly appreciate the ease with which I can create and assign projects, as well as the ability to allocate resources efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect that I find slightly challenging is the learning curve associated with the initial setup and configuration. It took some time to fully understand all the features and functionalities of Float.

With Float, we can create detailed project plans and timelines, taking into account the availability and capacity of our team members. This enables us to set realistic deadlines, identify potential bottlenecks, and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely project delivery.
Float is excellent for team planning
What do you like best about the product?
That it integrates with teamwork, making it easy to drag/drop and rearrange tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I modify the notes within a task and accidentally click cancel instead of update, it doesn't give a prompt double checking that this action was purposeful.

I enjoy using Float because of its user-friendly interface, visual project timelines, and the flexibility to adjust tasks and deadlines. The resource management features help me allocate team members effectively.

In the context of scheduling and planning projects, I haven't yet encountered any issues while using the software.

Float's ability to solve resource allocation challenges, enhance project visualization, and improve collaboration has significantly streamlined my project management approach, ultimately leading to more successful and well-executed projects.
I have literally recommended this app just yesterday.

easy scheduling of tasks, reporting on tasks done and management of users acroiss the org.
Float just works
What do you like best about the product?
It's great that Float updates live. I can have a chat with my account service team and watch the schedule populate as they fill it in. Being able to see my availability at a glance (or whether I'm over capacity) is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be better if I could disable email reminders from float at a user level. I could not find an unsubscribe option when management decided I needed a daily reminder email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is benefiting management. It helps me better understand what I do day to day but ultimately the information will help with forecasting etc.
