    Computer Software

Great online task and time manager

  • August 29, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the most about Float its intuitive interface and efficient resource allocation. The drag-and-drop functionality for task assignments and the ability to consider team members' availability and workload when scheduling were particularly impressive. It streamlined collaboration and prevented overbooking, enhancing overall productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Float is an exceptional scheduling software, one area that could see improvement is the addition of more advanced automation features. Incorporating AI-driven task assignment or predictive scheduling based on historical data could further elevate its capabilities and offer even greater efficiency for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float resolves the challenges of precise resource allocation, real-time collaboration, data-driven insights, streamlined workflow, and enhanced planning. This directly benefits me by ensuring accurate task assignments, seamless teamwork regardless of location, informed decision-making through analytics, simplified workflow with integrated tools, and more strategic resource planning, all contributing to increased productivity and improved work quality.

What do you like best about the product?
It is user friendly and intuitive. With its interactive dashboard, I can easily show the volume of work that I am getting. The workload of my teammates are also visible to me, so it's easy to get coordinated and work out resourcing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Float is really easy to use but things can get messy if the admin does not watch the entries. Maybe admin controls need to be tighter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resourcing and allocation, team visibility, time tracking, workload distribution, productivity maximisation, data tracking, among others.

Great resourcing dashboard - easy to set up and maintain

  • August 29, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is fast and simple to set up and then edit projects.
The ability quickly set up recurring events saves a lot of time.
Our general user experience is good, as they each have an ability to view resourcing through different lenses which is impactful.
As a leadership team we have very good visibility across shared resource pools.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no major flaws.
For what it costs, the limitations are quite easy to work around.
Forgetting to quit the 'Delete' button has caused some issues when editing in a hurry, but Ctrl+Z fixes almost all of these.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple resources working across multiple customers and work streams, so need to have an easy reference guide to minimise potential for error.
It gives our leadership team a clear view of individual workloads, and potential resource contention, so that we can take prompt action with a frequently changing customer demand.
It helps our Head of Finance to predict revenue streams from services work.

What do you like best about the product?
Float is really user friendly and easy to navigate. The colours are really distinctive and easy to read. I love the extra tags and statuses you can add to users as reminders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Float can lag when working and changing to quickly. I think there are still some bug fixes to be made when covering projects with time off, sometimes Float doesn't save changes and it reverts back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float is quick and easy to move around, and everyone is able to view it. It allows a central space for resourcing projects and keeping client and account manager expectations in line.

Time recording plays a major role in efficient time managent which is a critical aspect of productivity and success.
