Great experience of management
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to be managed thru the web console and easy to get familiar with this product. Using one single console can manage all the backup infrastructure in the company
What do you dislike about the product?
In our environment, we only use this product to backup VMware. Many other features are not needed. It will be great to have the option not to install the features like sharepoint, database ,,, feature when we install this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It protects VM servers in our company. We can restore VMs or files in the VM server directly. It is great product to protect our data.

What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
Commvault serves us by backing up multiple versions and multiple locations, giving us availability in case of any issues in one place. It has saved us a lot of time as scheduled backups happen automatically.
What is most valuable?
Commvault is an all-in-one product that is very simple and operational for business use. It has an imaging option and a deduplication option, and our license is per node, which is not limited to storage capacity. We can back up unlimited TBs due to our per node license.
What needs improvement?
I think Commvault needs to improve its virtual solutions.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have used Commvault for almost ten years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Commvault is a stable system.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Commvault is scalable.
How are customer service and support?
I would rate the customer support five out of ten. Customer support has very closed departments, requiring us to shuffle between them to get one thing done because representatives have limited accessibility. We need to go through multiple layers, which is inconvenient for us as end users.

We used to use Tivoli long ago. Now, for more than a decade, we don't have other experiences.

I think the initial setup was straightforward.

Numbers cannot be said because it is just a backup software.

Our licensing model is reasonable for us. We don't know the exact current licensing models in detail.
What other advice do I have?
We will recommend Commvault because it is stable and an all-in-one solution. Users can perform multiple types of backups from different sources. I rate the overall solution as an eight out of ten.

Even tough the implementaion/integration is easy, in some situation customer support lacks a little practive support.

It supports different types of platforms like Windows, Linux, VMware, AWS, and Azure. it will have the ability to scale up. CommVault is suit.It has features like routine backup and recovery, making all tasks easier for IT teams to manage data protection. If we talk about performance then it provides very good performance in terms of backup speed, recovery time & resources utilization.able for all sizes of business.

I like the Appranix solution as well as the AD recovery
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still trying to keep my current infrastructure dedicated to backups and incorporate some of the cloud offerings like Appranix and AD backup. It would be great if there was a cohesive way of approaching this setup.

Simplicity of setting up new backups and managing existing configuration. flexibility. Great support when we need it.

I did not have any bad experiences with the software so far and everytime we needed to perform any function, it was working as expected
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had issues backup up user data of employees that left the orginasation, Onedrive backup solved that issue for us. The software also work very well with our Azure server backups
