Exremely flexible backup and recovery tool

What do you like best about the product?
its flexibility to integrate with different hardware and software , its crossplatform so very easy to integrate amond complex IT infrastructures. it is also very easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer support from Commvault team is some times not up to the mark. the cost is very high as compared to alternatives. Maintenance requires very skilled personal just to manage the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a very complex IT infrastructure having Windows, linux, VMware cloud solutions which require a very complex level of Backup of data . Commvault is very easy to integrate across our infrastructure

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and is very reliable. We were using rapid recovery before.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of that I do not like about CommVault.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us backup our data securely. The alerting options are excellent and valuable.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setting up 365 backups and pricing based on per user rather than the size of data, as OneDrive accounts can hold a lot of data. Constantly being updated and improved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm sorry to say that the renewal and support have let us down. Currently also using Metallic for our on-prem off-site backups and although the purchase order was submitted in time, our backups have been stopped because the account manager was on holiday and the renewal wasn't processed in time. Very disappointed that a critical backup service like this can be suddenly stopped.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all our Microsoft 365 data backed up and giving us that additional benefit of longer retention periods than the basic Microsoft ones. We feel a lot more confident that should data be accidentally deleted, we will be able to restore it quickly.

Simplicity of use. It's really simple to configure

Licenses usage is hard to understand. We don't have visibility of usage before the 1rst backup

What do you like best about the product?
Metallic is really good for email backup. It has an easy to to use graphical interface and it is self-explanatory, I was able to create our email backup without any help. It has a lot of features like the retention policy that meets FINRA and SEC requirements for financial institutions. It has WORM (Read once Write Many) capabilities which makes retention very good. I check on the Backup once a week and everything is there. I could go to bed with Metallic Backup!
What do you dislike about the product?
It is slow when retrieving data. It takes a long time probably because it pulls data from a distant server in a low-level container. If that can be improved, Metallic will be on top!

What do you like best about the product?
It does work for backing up, but restoring is bad. option for the restore was changed without notification during an update.
What do you dislike about the product?
THey said it would allow for hourly backup for M365 and it doesn't. they removed a key restore feature without notifying us. we can only restore over existing items and not restoring in a separate location.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is keeping a copy of data. We just can't restore files to where we want to restore.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple to set up and use. Customer support is helpful when needed
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions are a little sluggish but not too bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
O365 is not backed up as standard so this is absolutely necessary for disaster recovery and business continuity.

Commvault is market leader and providing World class backup integration for public and private clouds

Nothing that I dislike about Commvault backup and recovery solution

Commvault is very easy to deploy and its compression and de duplication features are saving lots of storage space for us

Excellent Product and all round backup and restore tool

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use GUI and all options available to administrate the backup environment. Use VM level backups and file level backups as well as Exchange and SQL. All easy to use and simple to configure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you find that the Java Gui doesnt respond to certain commands and freezes and errors pop up. Some tasks have to do direct from commcell server. Can be a faff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MSP platform and easy to manage one stop shop for all customers we back up and support for the backup and restore operations. Easy to perform restores for customers in a quick and efficient manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look at all the software available and find one that suits the needs for scalability and costing.
