Interactive Operating system

What do you like best about the product?
It is an interactive operating system, which helps a user to control its operating systems using commands.
It is free of cost.
Its interface is very attractive as it supports both GUI and CLI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes its been very annoying in troubleshooting issues related to software/hardware problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Ubuntu as my primary Operating system, it helps me learn and know about various commands and gives a better understanding of hardware that how a computer works.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend using Ubuntu as your operating system.

What do you like best about the product?
The stable version of supporting all package that are needed for development and does not crashes even if we make it to

NIL, it has all the best feature and it has also passed windows and I felt even mac os and windows is not stable on updates
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I felt that package manage would be done in better way with some extra addons and stuffs
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would like all the dev to install ubuntu and start using this

Great for new linux users to start with a 5 years long term support OS

What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu Desktop latest release 20.04.1 LTS provides 5 years long time support which means the user can download free updates and security until April 2025. The newly added dark mode in this release is amazing for the eyes of the user. Another great feature is the Do Not Disturb toggle which makes it easier for the user to turn off all the desktop notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installation is a real challenge for beginner users of Linux.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me use the Linux system easily and is the most preferred among the Linux users. It is fast and hence helps individuals and professionals with their work.

Best open source for programmers

What do you like best about the product?
There are many reasons. First of all is for free open source. Second it offers developers bash command line which is really amazing experience.Moreover, it provide security without buying external antisecurity to protect information.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me i really like everything about it but one note is that sometimes for no reason it crashes but rarely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Actually using ubuntu desktop helps me giving the environment needed to develop web applications.

What do you like best about the product?
It is light and allows to run concurrent sessions and have big application working
There are many emulators and you can run Windows applications
Easy to use,
Does not take a lot of hardware resources
What do you dislike about the product?
it breaks if too many processes are running
You have to be monitoring available hardware resources (HTOP)
Some windows application are not compatible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can do my daily job easily: All business applications, eMail, chat and also server simulations; All personal apps Youtube, Gmail
I Can run a full production server and emulate all user access to it
Communications are easy to use, so I can share my programs with the community
Easy to deploy my new programs using open source tools such as GIT
Integrates all steps of the software maturity process
Allows to work from home
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a very good OS for personal or business use.
Please consider: - It is NOT windows, so the interface varies and some users will struggle
- For running windows applications, you must select an emulator or wait for the app to be available for Ubuntu
- Support is not always found, as far as it is an open software, you must rely on the internet support sources or to know someone else with good technical knowledge

Based on multitasking, you can can have servers and users emulations in your computer
You can save expenses on additional hardware
Old hardware is supported

What do you like best about the product?
Among different OS distributions Ubuntu Desktop has always featured graphical enhancements to be user-friendly and easy to use. The libraries and drivers are always updated for in cases of connecting a removable memory, the installation of office programs are compatible and free as the operating system. The installation of the Ubuntu Desktop operating system does not require greater physical capacity of hardware, it is very light and works very well. Community support is very extensive and solutions are always available for any operating system problem, every year the updates are renewed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I always like Ubuntu Desktop. Everything works very well, it is incredible how it detects printers automatically, and the ease of having shared folders. Ubuntu operating system is a great help for organizations or non-profit institutions with few financial resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits are many by not having to buy an operating system license and other programs that require a paid license. Security is paramount, and the risk of viruses is reduced by having a Unix operating system. The Ubuntu desktop form is straightforward to use. It is compatible with printers, and in some moments, it is automatically detected and the operating system updates are constant always to keep the system patched and reduce computer risks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ubuntu's free operating system is the equivalent of a paid operating system, it has everything you need for the office or for a student.
It has a very good support. Ubuntu operating system is a great help for organizations with few financial resources, having a free operating system helps to have an equivalent of an operating payment system.

What do you like best about the product?
All the linux features are very well integrated in UBUNTU Desktop. The ease of using the terminal
What do you dislike about the product?
GUI capabilities can be much more enhanced and can be improved with more debugging and troubleshooting options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
connecting remote solutions or using putty terminal for connecting different servers, it also is an effective replacement for RHEL.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
do make use of terminal and GUI to the fullest

What do you like best about the product?
1. Good UI for the small monitors
2. Simplicity
3. Wide range of software out of the box
4. Perfect for collaboration on open source projects
5. Dedicated software centre
6. Good PPA repositories available
7. UTF-8 is the default character encoding

The default apps available in Ubuntu are great and can easily cover the most anyone's needs. In Ubuntu OS, users always have a new supported release available without long wait times in between.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Relatively high system requirements
2. Custom PPAs required for most software
3. Binary incompatible to Debian
4. Doesn't shutdown/standby properly on Lenovo laptops (b, e & g series) and desktops (Thinkcentre)
5. Problematic to integrate in Windows server environment (Active Directory)
6. Random system errors may pop up
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is mostly because packages and tools are readily available via the software centre. I am solving end to end daily basis of programming tasks for my clients in Ubuntu only it's well packed for technical professionals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can try it out if:

1. You hold a technical background
2. You don't want to purchase windows
3 You are not addicted to PC games

What do you like best about the product?
Free and easy to use, lots of regular upgrades.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as user friendly as windows and might need to have some knowledge of terminal commands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving money since it's free to use and in tough times this is a major perk! Also nice to operate everything from the terminal.
