Our primary use case for DuploCloud is managing containerized applications and automated infrastructure provisioning. We use it to deploy microservices quickly while ensuring security and compliance standards. DuploCloud lets our startup move forward without building DevOps from scratch. It streamlines our CI/CD workflow, making the process easier.

Automation has accelerated microservice delivery and now enables secure multi-tenant growth
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
DuploCloud manages containerized applications and automated infrastructure provisioning, which are our main use cases.
The best feature of DuploCloud is the no-DevOps-required approach to infrastructure automation and compliance and security policy implementation.
It is one of the good features for monitoring and observability of the application. It gives a clear insight into resource usage, which helps us avoid unnecessary cloud spending. Additionally, multi-tenant architecture support is very useful for working with multiple clients and keeping everything organized and secure.
DuploCloud has had a strong positive impact on my organization by accelerating our development lifecycle and reducing operational overhead.
We saw around a 60% to 70% reduction in infrastructure setup time and deployment state improvement by roughly 40%, and cloud cost of the developer environment by about 20% due to better resource management. Onboarding new developers became faster since they did not need deep cloud expertise. These results made a noticeable difference.
What needs improvement?
One area for improvement could be customization and flexibility for advanced users with DuploCloud. Sometimes, if you want a very specific configuration, it feels a bit restrictive. The UI can be slightly overwhelming initially, and a more intuitive onboarding experience would be helpful.
Documentation for DuploCloud is good, but it could be more beginner-friendly with step-by-step guides for debugging. Since the abstraction hides certain details, adding more detailed documentation and writing debugging tools would improve the experience. That enhancement would go a long way.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using DuploCloud for about half a year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
DuploCloud has proven to be reliable in terms of stability. We rarely have downtime or critical issues. Most of the deployments run easily and without unexpected failures. That consistency is great.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability is one of DuploCloud's strong points. We can scale our applications up and down without requiring manual intervention from our side.
How are customer service and support?
Customer support for DuploCloud is responsive and helpful. Whenever we face an issue, the support team provides a clear solution quickly. Their technical understanding is solid, which makes the interaction efficient. Overall, it is a good experience.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Previously, we were managing the infrastructure manually using Terraform and the AWS console. It was time-consuming and required specialized skills. We switched to DuploCloud to simplify our workflow and reduce operational complexity. That decision made a big difference.
How was the initial setup?
I purchased DuploCloud through the AWS Marketplace.
What was our ROI?
The ROI is very strong with DuploCloud. We saved both time and cost while improving efficiency. We reduced the need for DevOps resources, which justified the investment within a few months. It has clearly paid off.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing and value of DuploCloud are good, considering the value it provides. Setup was relatively simple. We got our first environment running within a day, which saved a lot of initial cost.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We looked at tools including Kubernetes in a native setup, Terraform, and some of the PaaS platforms before choosing DuploCloud. While they offered flexibility, they required more effort to manage. DuploCloud provides pre-built compliance and automation with ease of use. That is why we chose it.
What other advice do I have?
I give DuploCloud's customer support a rating of 10 out of 10 because of the customer satisfaction. I am happy talking with the customer support team as they help solve my issues.
I recommend DuploCloud to teams that want to move fast without deep DevOps expertise. It is especially useful for startups or growing companies.
Overall, DuploCloud has been a game-changer. The workflow is simplified.
I would rate this review an 8 out of 10.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Robust DevOps Automation with Few Restrictions
Effortless Application Deployment, Needs a UI Refresh
Have faced unexpected platform limitations but have benefited from a smooth migration experience
What is our primary use case?
We were initially using Heroku but wanted to migrate for more granular control and cost savings.
How has it helped my organization?
This did not necessarily improve things as much as move us sideways. The initial project to migrate us went well, but we now have additional maintenance and administration costs that balance the cost savings from the cheaper infrastructure.
What is most valuable?
Their initial onboarding and migration service was great. A lot of effort was put into getting things working, and the process was also relatively quick.
What needs improvement?
There seems to be significant effort toward vendor lock-in. During the sales pitch, we were told it would be very easy to turn off Duplo and its software, but upon closer inspection, the workflows make use of vendor-specific software without a technical reason. The backups are vendor-specific for disaster recovery unless one specifically requests otherwise. They also use their own Terraform provider, which does not provide any advantage over the generic providers. The software portal can be quite buggy. Although some fixes have been done over time, the root causes were not resolved. The panel does not support everything, so features like termination protection are missing. Additionally, automated services running on the portal have performed unexpected actions, such as deleting RDS instances.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have used the solution for one year.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We used a PaaS vendor that was increasing costs and reducing features and services.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It is important to read the contract very carefully. I understood that we had a 30-day notice period, but according to Duplo, we are locked into a yearly contract.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We considered alternate solutions, but I cannot remember them by name.

Simplified our AWS experience dramatically.
It is much easier to get a picture of what is deployed and where than the Amazon dashboard. Secret management is much easier as well.
Auto-generate config feature is effective during infrastructure provisioning in our GCP environments
2. Through its iterative deployment approach, we can break down our enterprise application into managable chunks for archival & recursive demands.
3. We can refine specific components of our application & annotate goals, versions, releases and other comments while working with multiple teams.
4. It also helps in preventing rollback of our silos while executing our infrastructure deployments & to prevent malfunctions and failovers
Apart from this, application deployment services provided for our GCP infrastructure is efficient & we can follow comprehensive regulatory standards for our DevOps implementations.
2. It has a robust rule-based engine which effectively transtates our application configurations to low level infrastucture constructs for easy deployments.
3. For users from non-technical background, its web-based UI is excellent for end-to-end DevOps workflow creation.
4. Since DuploCloud offers no-code based approach to automation procurements, we can focus more on our application enhancements & reduce cloud operation costs.
5. We can also export our native Terraform code of the current infrastructure without any proprietary constructs which is excellent for our dynamic client procurements.
