Reliable Monitoring and Insights for Modern Applications

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
New Relic stands out for its ease of use and intuitive dashboards, which make monitoring and troubleshooting straightforward even for complex applications. The ease of implementation is impressive—integrating it into our tech stack was smooth, with clear documentation and quick setup. I also appreciate the wide range of features, from real-time performance monitoring to log management and distributed tracing, all in one platform.
The ease of integration with popular frameworks and cloud services saves a lot of time, and the customer support is responsive and knowledgeable whenever we need assistance. We use New Relic daily for application health checks, performance optimization, and alerting, and it has become an essential part of our workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model can be a bit complex, especially when scaling across multiple environments. Also, the UI, while feature-rich, can feel overwhelming for new users because of the sheer number of options and data points available. Some advanced features require additional configuration, which can take time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helps us monitor application health, track performance metrics, and analyze logs in one place. This has significantly reduced our mean time to detect (MTTD) and resolve (MTTR) issues. By having visibility into errors and slow transactions, we can optimize code and infrastructure, leading to better user experience and reduced downtime. It also supports proactive monitoring, which means fewer surprises in production.

Comprehensive Tool with Setup Challenges

  • December 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find New Relic to be an all-in-one solution that works effectively for both our web and app platforms. Its ability to support multiple coding languages and frameworks makes it a versatile tool in our toolkit. What I particularly appreciate about New Relic is that it simplifies our workflow by providing a common platform for both backend and frontend analysis. This consolidation has significantly eased our operations, as I no longer need to juggle multiple tools for different parts of our app ecosystem. The platform's consistency and comprehensive capabilities in analyzing API response times and understanding user flows are strengths I value greatly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the first-time implementation of New Relic challenging, requiring careful reference to the documentation, which complicates the initial setup process. Additionally, I feel that the dashboard is somewhat difficult to navigate and could be improved by incorporating more user-friendly and interactive features, like drag-and-drop functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use New Relic for API response time analysis and understanding user flows. It's an all-in-one solution for web and mobile apps, supporting multiple languages and frameworks, simplifying debugging and offering a unified platform for both backend and frontend.

Real-Time Insights, Smooth Troubleshooting

  • November 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love using New Relic because it provides a clear, real-time view of my system's performance without having to navigate through multiple tools. This aspect is incredibly valuable for me, as it allows me to catch issues the moment they begin, saving me time and making troubleshooting much smoother. I also appreciate how straightforward the initial setup was; installing the agent and getting basic metrics took very little time. Additionally, using New Relic alongside our logging tools and deployment pipeline helps me to connect logs, metrics, and release changes seamlessly, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of issues in context. Overall, New Relic is reliable and effective in providing good visibility into performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find some areas of New Relic a bit heavy when it comes to navigation, as it requires going through too many menus to reach specific details. Additionally, the loading time could be improved, especially when switching between dashboards during peak traffic moments when quick insights are crucial.

Unified Observability and Advanced Diagnostics with New Relic

  • November 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
New Relic is a robust and unified observability platform that leverages the NRDB database. It brings together all types of telemetry metrics, events, logs, and traces enabling comprehensive analysis through NRQL. Among its standout features are advanced APM capabilities for in-depth code diagnostics and essential Distributed Tracing, which helps visualize microservices architectures. The platform also provides strong Infrastructure Monitoring, including support for Kubernetes, as well as user experience tools such as Synthetics and RUM. Additionally, its AI-powered AIOps effectively correlates alerts and identifies anomalies, empowering engineering teams to proactively debug and optimize their entire technology stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
New Relic's primary drawbacks center on cost and complexity. Pricing quickly escalates due to high data ingestion volume and expensive full-stack user licenses, creating budget unpredictability. The platform also has a steep learning curve, requiring significant investment to master all components and the proprietary NRQL query language. A further drawback is strong vendor lock-in, as all telemetry is stored in the proprietary NRDB, making data extraction difficult. Finally, the necessary APM and Infrastructure agents can introduce noticeable CPU and memory overhead, impacting application performance in resource-constrained environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic solves the core problem of observability silos by unifying all performance data—metrics, logs, and traces—into a single platform (NRDB). This centralization drastically reduces the Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR), eliminating the need to swivel between tools during an incident. Key benefits include gaining instant full-stack visibility from code execution (APM) to user experience (RUM). By providing AI-driven correlation across microservices via Distributed Tracing , New Relic helps teams quickly pinpoint the root cause of performance bottlenecks and infrastructure issues, leading to improved application stability and reliability.
