What do you like best about the product?
I do like how easy is to customize tax results
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems to be tailored specifically for users of SAP or Oracle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to calculate the correct tax for each type of product.
Excellent UI and Product Categories, But Lacks Custom Tax Rule Features
What do you like best about the product?
they have a better ui experience than other vendor products. also they have better product categories available to use for mapping. they also have good certificate center module to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
they don't have good features available to create custom tax rules and also not many rules available for motor vehicles especially to manage cross border scenarios.

currently used to calculate indirect tax for all revenue streams globally

Software is highly configurable. Allows ease to integrate with multiple billing system

Software can be very difficult to find where changes need to be made.

staying compliant with ever changing tax regulations, Allows us to research whether products or services we provide are taxable in a particular state.

Tax Assist rules are difficult to configure on occasion - it feels like there should be more options/more obvious options

tax mapping changes. Doesn't happen often but can be challenging to remember/navigate

Flexibility in subscription pricing, functionality with S/4Hana

I am not currently subscribed so I am uncertain but it seems like Vertex is a good fit for manufacturing companies

I am interested in using Vertex to reduce the manual efforts required as part of our monthly indirect compliance processes, I also believe it should help with more accurate taxability of our products and services offered to customers
