Built with everything Tax in mind
What do you like best about the product?
I am a Sr. Tax Analyst at my company, and I really enjoy that Vertex already has the mapping configurated for our business. The research has already been done and we are not having to guess the tax code for our products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because Vertex already has the research done for our business specific tax codes, it would be very useful for Vertex to implement a feature where the research is done. Currently, we have to 1) go to state websites to find the research or 2) go to another tax research engine to find results for the tax determination already provided by Vertex. It would be great if Vertex was a one stop shop when it came down to retrieving the research.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex is our tax engine and provides all the tax outcomes for our customer's invoices.

excellent product for sales and use. Good with SAP and Oracle integration

Vertex ITR has completely changed the way we work. The efficient process and ease to generate our returns has saved so much time.

The rate application is not always the easiest to use.

The AI feature as a tool to aid in support and make things quicker seems like a great move forward.
They have been very helpful whenever we've experienced issues or had product questions.

Availability to assist with any problems that have come up.

We have run into issues in the past with correct TAIDs assigned to addresses

Providing us with accurate tax rates and various updates necessary in MDU.

What do you like best about the product?
The software is very customizable and user friendly. Not matter the situation Vertex can be customized to work with suitatution in multiple different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support is very hard to use. Submit a case and wait then if it needs to be sent on you can wait days or weeks for a response.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to determine taxability of the same product in multiple different states and tax based on unique business situations and complexity at local and county levels.
Vertex is a great company and very helpful with all issues and questions.

The staff has been where we are and want to make sure that are needs are taken care of.

Nothing they are a great company who I would recommend.

What do you like best about the product?
I feel that the user interface is built more for a tax professional and is easy to teach and train my team on what to do and where. I like the flexibility in the tax assist and flexible fields to bring in custom data and identify different scenarios, since our data is never straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the connectors can be buggy and I spend extra time comparing the connector outputs to ensure the same results across solutions. They are working to streamline these...but it is something I set aside extra time to troubleshoot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex provides taxability content that we can rely on and easily set up when we add products. We also use it for sales tax calculation, VAT, and exemption certificates.
