Reliable sales tax solution
What do you like best about the product?
All rates have been researched and update every month.

Difficulty troubleshooting. Need more solutions to solving problems

It is calculating sales tax on all US invoices.
Tam and tickets
What do you like best about the product?
Tam. Having a direct contact is nice. Would be nice if they could also submit tickets on our behalf.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slow ticket response. Tickets tend to sit for over a week.

What do you like best about the product?
Versitility and and ease of use. Coming from Vertex L to Vertex O has been an amazing experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding process is quite extensive. While it is necissary, we are looking forward to a solution to this problem that we found out just today during our session.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is bringing our tax decision making process into the 21st century. Allowing us to calculate more accurately many local and specific use case taxes that currently we are handling manually. Looking forward to getting to use a tax engine that handles and resolves many of the pain points we have currently.

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Vertex for the past 10+ years for tax calculation and reporting for the USA. It exceeded our expectations, and now, we are planning to use it globally. We are present in 40+ countries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vertex is well connected with ERP like SAP; however, it still needs to improve on many tools around ERP, like ARIBA.

Tax calculations made easier
What do you like best about the product?
Using Vertex was key to launching new vertical streams at Grubhub as we scale to expand beyond food delivery. Without it, navigating the tax rules needed to shift into retail would have been impossible

The amount of work to maintain the solution is significant and the need to create a tax technology role is becoming clear for us

It has outsourced tax calculations for us allowing out Product and tech teams to focus they time in other areas rather than maintaining an in house solution
Vertex for complicated Indirect Tax footprint
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Vertex for many years and have seen the growth. One of the best things is that when there is a complex indirect tax footprint, Vertex can be utilized to meet every need. Regardless of the tax data elements needed to make a tax decision, the software can be configured to meet the need. Their tax content and capability to configure your needs set them above others.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a premium product with a premium price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have complex tax decisions around our use tax compliance. We have to use non-standard data elements. Vertex has been able to meet the needs to create a simpler, easier to maintain and scalable tax solution.
Vertex experience from a new user
What do you like best about the product?
I really love the level of support available in the university and community sites. We're upgrading from L series to O series and the team has been so helpful in our transition.
What do you dislike about the product?
All the testing we have to do during our upgrade
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we have issues with jobsites and contractor sales tax exemptions - the l series is going to correct the exemption process we have and save all of our team members a ton of time.
