Trusted Tax Solution with Cost Concerns
What do you like best about the product?
I find Vertex highly beneficial for making better use tax decisions. The tools provided, such as the Vertex plus tools and vendor recon, are particularly helpful in this process. These tools assist in evaluating taxes and purchasing decisions, allowing for a more efficient decision-making process. Additionally, I appreciate the straightforward setup of Vertex, as it was easy to implement without any challenges. The pricing also stands out as a factor that makes Vertex an attractive choice, as it was one of the reasons I would consider purchasing it again. The overall experience with Vertex is satisfactory, and I am impressed with its capabilities and effectiveness in helping with tax-related decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the cost of the Accelerator Plus tools in Vertex to be high.

I use Vertex to make better use tax decisions, with its tools providing valuable assistance.
Great End-to-End Solution, But Support Escalation Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
end to end solution options, friendly and readily available contacts that are really listening and taking into consideration your needs and wants for future releases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support tickets can take awhile to get to the right contact. We work closely with the tax research team and typically our support tickets are inquiring about their content but it takes awhile to get the ticket escalated to the correct person when we already know what is wrong. And by the time we get down to a solution its already been multiple MDU releases. Additionally, the SOCs do not provide any context as to why a change was made so we waste a lot of time trying to identify if content was just a fix or an actual law change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex allows for us to get more granular and accurate tax rates than our original home grown system allowed.
Outstanding Products and Service, with Room for Support Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I have worked with Vertex for years. Vertex strives to meet their customers' needs by delivering the best products, continuing to enhance them and providing an excellent client experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about Vertex, but I suggest they continue to focus on improving the knowledge of their first line support analysts. Support analysts should really understand problems before provide boilerplate answer.

Sales tax accuracy and compliance. Improves accuracy in customer invoicing, reporting, minimizing risk and optimizing efficiency.
Effortless Navigation and a Flawless Experience

easy to navigate - eg add tax rule, tax certificate, new customer

So far I have not met any situation that I am not satified yet

Logging a ticket - not always helpful. Takes too long to get answers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Calculating tax for us, providing the tools for us to review our data, able to troubleshoot and what errors mean
Robust Products, But Slow Enhancement Response
What do you like best about the product?
Their products are the most robust on the market, as is their customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Enhancement requests take too long regardless of complexity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier exemption certificate maintenance, and more trustworthy tax calculations due to using O Series versus other suppliers' products.

Connections with other professionals and the philanthropic efforts such as helping out the puppies!
What do you dislike about the product?
In this conference, I was not a fan of the different floors for the sessions, food, keynotes, etc. I would have liked the events to all be a little closer.
