Excellent SQL Tool for Effortless Data Exploration

  • November 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a great SQL tool that lets you view source data without having to commit to implementing data via etl's. We use a cloud based data source to house our data but I use DBeaver to check and view certain data sources before committing to pulling it all.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really complicated to get certain oracle integrations set up, but once it's complete, you don't have a lot of complexity afterwards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets me have a sneak peek into data sources without committing to the additional cost of ETL data extraction.

What do you dislike about the product?
It disconnects frequently if idle for few minutes and requires refreshing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can see my database structures and the datasets I've. It helps me run query tests without code development so I can understand the use case better in a very short period of time

A powerful, open-source database management tool that served purpose to check sqlite database.

What do you like best about the product?
DBeaver offers a very user-friendly interface with advanced features that saved me a lot of time in validating SQLite database content. I really appreciate how effortlessly this tool allows easy access and management of databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
While DBeaver is a great tool overall, it can feel a bit heavy at times, especially when working with large databases. However, this is minor compared to the overall benefits it provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DBeaver helps me open and work with SQLite databases that I use in my project. Compared to accessing databases through the terminal, DBeaver makes the process much easier, with a clear and readable interface that provides a better understanding of the database structure.

Great all-in-one SQL tool for everyday database work

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DBeaver is super handy when working with multiple databases. It supports a wide range of DB types (like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.), so I don’t need to switch tools. The UI is clean and beginner-friendly, and I really like features like the ER diagram viewer, query auto-complete, and data export options. It makes running and organizing queries much easier, especially when dealing with large datasets.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel a bit slow or heavy at times, especially when working with large tables or opening multiple tabs. Also, some advanced settings are buried and not very intuitive. The initial setup for some databases can be a bit tricky if you’re new. But overall, once it’s running, it works really well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DBeaver makes it easier to work with different databases in one place. I don’t have to switch between tools or remember complex commands—it lets me run queries, view tables, and export data quickly. It saves time and helps me avoid mistakes, especially when working with large or multiple datasets.

Possibly one of the best free database IDEs in the market

  • February 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DBeaver is an IDE specifically for writing database queries but it does so much more. The fact that it is free makes is all the more amazing. The installation process is pretty straight forward and one can easily get in and start using it. They have been continuously improving the UX over time which has now made it inarguably my go to tool for writing database queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although a lot of improvements have been made over time. I feel the intellisense is something that still needs improvement. The fact that sometimes it just stops giving suggestions on tables and columns still annoys me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a product manager DBeaver is very handy whenever I need to extract data for analysis.
