Intuitive, Flexible Workflow Automation—A Seamless Experience with Appian
What do you like best about the product?
Appian is an mazing platform and helps in simplifying building and automating workflows without needing of coding experience. it's interface is really intuitive, you are able to design process process visually, connect data from different systems and are able to see everything come together in one place. This platform is really flexible, in this you can start small with one process and then easily expand as your needs grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
As far as my experience with it, for now there is nothing as such dislike in it which i found, i overall had the great experience to working with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is really helpful and solving the problems of managing complex business processes and disconnected systems. Earlier we were struggling with outdated tools, manual workflows, and depend on IT teams for even small changes. Appian helps in overcoming from these issues by offering a low code platform that makes it easy to build, automate and optimize process without needing deep programming knowledge.
Efficient Low-Code Development with Appian, but Customization and Costs Can Be Challenging

I like best about Appian is its low-code approach, which allows rapid application development with minimal manual coding. The platform’s intuitive interface, strong process automation capabilities, and seamless integration with other systems make it highly efficient for building scalable enterprise solutions. It enables faster delivery of business applications while maintaining flexibility and governance.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Appian is a powerful low-code platform, it can feel somewhat restrictive when handling highly customized or complex use cases that require deep coding flexibility. Additionally, the licensing costs and resource requirements for scaling can be relatively high, which may pose challenges for smaller teams or projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Appian helps solve the challenge of managing complex business processes and workflows by providing a unified low-code automation platform. It enables faster development, integration, and deployment of enterprise applications without heavy coding effort. This has helped streamline operations, improve collaboration between business and IT teams, and reduce overall delivery time for digital solutions—resulting in higher efficiency and quicker time to value.
Streamlined Employee Onboarding with Some Limitations
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Appian has transformed my onboarding process into an intelligent automated workflow, improving speed and compliance without human intervention. The unified platform with process automation, case management, RPA, AI, and data management stands out. It’s integration-friendly, connecting seamlessly with systems like ERP and CRM. The quick cloud deployments and mobile-friendly nature further add to its appeal, facilitating efficient operations across devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found Appian to have a high licensing cost, which is a significant drawback for me. Additionally, there is a steep learning curve, especially for complex scenarios, which makes it challenging to master quickly. The UI customization options are limited, which can be restrictive compared to other systems. Furthermore, there are occasional performance overheads that affect the software's efficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Appian to automate the employee onboarding process, reducing time from five days to two by streamlining document collection and verification, improving speed and compliance while integrating seamlessly with other systems.
Low code no code application - Best for any business management
What do you like best about the product?
Low code and best customer service. It also provides lots of new features every quarter/release which helps build trust with our stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reports aren't that great as expected compared to the application.

It works as business management tool and helps stakeholders maintain the process for study/activity they are working on for different types.

The best part about Appian is that anyone can switch to this platform without any hassle.

The only disadvantage I feel towards this platform is that there are very few resources out there on internet to learn everything.

Really great features, fast development cycle, different approach to solving problems, great customer satisfaction.

Bottleneck on some specific issues such as performance or restriction on using out of the box feature

Appian is a great product and help building our workflows in a very short amount of time.

Simply Drag drop and a little amount of code to create powerful workflows from scratch.

I don’t like the maintenance schedule for Appian, most of the times it falls in our business timings.
