What do you like best about the product?
Qualys is used to monitored the SSL certificates on publices sites. Their test gives a visually nice and comprehensive overview of the status of our certificates.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is possible the scan doesn't have any results (nothing found), while this may be a false negative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scanning of multiple certificates for cloud applications.

easy to use and GUI and cloud base. blackbox scanner appliances no need to worry about patching and mantaince

sometime can be slow in response due to cloud base. .

What do you like best about the product?
Overall, the Qualys product peforms well and does what we would expect reliably. The vendor support of the on-premise infrastructure has been very good. Breadth of functionality and customization is very good. Overall performance and result in consistency is prevalent.
What do you dislike about the product?
their customer support to address issues with vulnerability signatures and feature enhancement requests is on the lower end of the scale
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We deployed the AWS appliance for doing security and compliance scans of ec2 instances. If you follow their documentation exactly everything went very smooth. Getting the technology deployed is only the first step. Team and remediation disipline is much more important and requires more focus. Overall the product seemed to integrate with the AWS API well.

What do you like best about the product?
We used Qualys for Penetration testing and it worked out well for us. They offered external penetration testing and internal as well. For the internal pen tests, they provided a device that we added to our network that would look for specific known ports that were open.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have an additional device in our network was not ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Qualys to ensure our environment was up to snuff for PCI compliance. We benefited from this information by being able to provide the penetration test information to our PCI auditors.

The thing Ilike the most is the real time scanning it does for all our servers located around different network zones and provide consolidated result

I think it should be much better in terms of false positives

We are doing automated scans of vm's provisioned through to identify vulnerabilities

What do you like best about the product?
As other users have pointed out, it is very user friendly. It only took a little bit of time to get up to speed.The vulnerability scans is what my business was mostly using it for. Each scan provides a very in depth analysis on a potential risk is, and it also lists out potential solutions. You can also set it up to run scans at specific times or create a schedule. It has many features that make it a great tool to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scanning can take some time to finish. Multiple users working with this tool can cause issues, as it doesn't keep a record of any changes made to the environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business has used this tool for multiple different security applications. It is important to have a tool that will adapt to new vulnerabilities and provide solutions to resolve them quickly.

Keeping information secure is important and this tool will help with that.
