Reliable vulnerability management platform
What do you like best about the product?
I'm using this platform for more than 5 years and what I appreciated most is the reliability of the information provided. The platform is recommended for big enterprises and agent capabilities are the most advanced in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Information in the platform is split in different modules and in some case this setup is not the best one to get the right information. Tool API requires knowledge and is different for each module.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implement a complete vulnerability management program in large corporations and support patch management efforts with an automated solution based on a single agent concept.

Qualys VMDR- MORE INSIGHTS, LESS ADMINISTRATIVE OVERHEAD
What do you like best about the product?
Qualis VMDR provides more insights on recent vulnerabilities and less admin overhead. Using Qualis is quite easy and effective in identifying known and unknown assets in an environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Synchronizing with CMDB is not included in the regular license, it has to be purchased as an add-on. Confirmation on patch completion would be more efficient compared to other VM solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset identification and Vulnerability management are the predominant roles of Qualis VMDR in my organization. We have leveraged the Qualis in the patch management and risk management activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Qualis provides a great user-friendly admin console and it's very handy and easy to design scans. If it's your first time going for a VM solution then Qualis would not disappoint you.

Top Vulnerability Management Tool with Good Additional Patch Management Features
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of the tool is felt is about Cloud agents, one agent can do everything for you starting from Vulnerability management, policy compliance, continuous monitoring, asset view, patch management. Also, the capability to run the scans on the cloud platform and containers with a holistic view of the assets is very impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
As such I do not have anything to dislike about Qualys but I would really like to see improvements in Web Application scanning capabilities and enhanced patching facility on other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Qualys since 2015 and I have seen how Qualys has grown since then so I can really say it has solved many problems for me and for the customers I have served. Starting from accurate Vulnerability Scanning reports to Policy compliance reporting Qualys really helped me in reporting accurate vulnerabilities and helped in identifying the accurate compliance status of the organization's security posture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you truly want perfect vulnerability management and policy compliance tool then the organization's top priority should be Qualys only.
Overall, it was a great experience for me!

The automatic discovery of every asset through Qualys VMDR is a great advantage to have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance is a little slow. However, it is not a big issue.

The discovery of every single asset helps me to understand the nature of my enterprise.

Performance, quality and rich in experience technology helps a lot. It is a real good one but coverage .might be a little thing to consider.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to be specific. I find everything to be quite nice and feel like Qualsys is doing great. Just that coverage and consistency can be improved a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vulnerability assessment and tracking is easy with VMDR. It also provides references to quality sites where more about the specific vulnerability can be learnt.
Qualys VMDR is a very robust technology to find critical /or unmanaged assets within the company

The asset discovery is very good and fast, it was able pinpoint all of our asset in our environment including those unmanaged ones

At this point I do not see any downside yet.

Try to compare capabilities of your current vulnerability management provider side by side with Qualys and see the real difference.

I have used that tool in my previous organization. Its a one go tool which can give you Vulnerability Management, Patch Deployment, Threat detection and Asset Management. What do you dislike about the product?
In starting it was a bit complex to learn but once our team learnt. It was easy to use. Our company was offer a free trial that was used. And trial was ended in 7 days. So as I said it was trial so I didn't got much time to see what was all the features this software was providing. My company was a small. So there was not much of a infrastructure to built on the basis of this software but we tried our best to keep the assets secure and managed with this software.

Our biggest problem was asset management, Vulnerabilty management and Patch deplyment. This product supports all.Our company was offer a free trial that was used. And trial was ended in 7 days. Identify all assets (known and unknown) that connect to the network—on prem, endpoints, clouds, containers, mobile, OT and IoT—for a comprehensive, categorized global IT asset inventory that’s always up to date. So that was all with my expirence with this software. But I am happy I have used it in my experience and it solves a lot of problems which companies are facing now a days in their infrastructure.
