Sumologic logging tool review

Easy to collect logs, but can get pricey fast.
What do you like best about the product?
Getting most machines set up logging with sumo was super easy. I really liked the fact that you could limit ingestion using regex before it even counted towards your limit. So I was able to specify specific logs amongst a group of unfiltered logs that I'd be able to not count towards my storage limits.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing scaled pretty atrociously for me. I ended up suddenly going over my limits and getting bills that were unexpected. And I found the prices rose very quickly from an enticing low cost entry level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cyber security requirements, log monitoring.
Great Visualization and Customization
What do you like best about the product?
The customization on the dashboards and the visualization of the data are very easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of getting all the data requires lots of product knowledge. Thankfully we work with a SOC that specializes in this software so they were able to visualize our data needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SumoLogic ingests and visualizes data about our environment for my team to review. The SOC also uses this dashboard to report any potential incidents or suspicious activity.
Great monitoring tool but too costly
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Sumo Logic is the monitoring dashboards and the easy integrations, the tool provides. It helped my team to get quicker alerts on application downtime and security issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Sumo Logic is the pricing. It costs us a huge bill for providing these services. There are more tools available that are cheaper but yeah they are not accurate enough for big scale systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sumo Logic is helping our teams to react quickly and resolve any security, or downtime issues. There are a number of times that we were able to pre-identify an issue and resolve it faster than actually getting bad feedback from the customers.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
software Observability and it has a entire platform for doing it like APM, log analysis, SIEM and many more systems to monitor and gain insights about your software
Excellent, price-friendly, security monitoring & analytics platform!
What do you like best about the product?
Support is second-to-none, documentation is excellent, deployment is a breeze, and they're constantly innovating and adding new integrations in their app library.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have anything negative to say about SumoLogic's platform and I've been using it for 2 years now. This is with over a decade of SIEM/log aggregation administration experience using countless 3rd party products. If I had to get crazy and dig into my wishlist, I do wish they offered an "AlienVault-style" endpoint agent to collect logs on desktop/laptop OSes. And maybe a bit more SOAR-style workflows in the regular (non-enterprise) security monitoring and analytics platform, but they have an enterprise SIEM/SOAR product for that. And we can automate a lot with the native scheduled searches and integrations with various collaboration platforms (Slack, etc.) and incident response platforms (PagerDuty, etc.) that our subscription has.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a SIEM and a platform to centralize all logs, metrics, etc. from all our disparate platforms, SaaS apps, internal applications, and cloud environment. It has beyond solved those and the support we get from our account managers is absolutely amazing. Typically you'll see the smaller businesses get ignored by vendors, but not here. We have monthly syncs with our account management team and they're readily available every other day on Slack if we need them. Their education and documentation modules are also outstanding and are free (they don't charge for certifications or introductory knowledge/curriculum courses). It's truly just about everything I wish I had when using more expensive platforms in the past.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Sometimes, it lags in fetching data from custom dashboards.
2. Interface is confusing & messed with an overlap of multiple data cards.
3. Not compatible with all query languages. SQL is a must to use it. It can't support all other languages.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we are a B2C Financial startup, we get loads of data daily. SumoLogic helps us to organise by creating custom dashboards and set alerts for specific key actions. Highly recommended for any growing enterprise.
Sumo Logic as SIEM
What do you like best about the product?
Sumo Logic integrations with AWS are really good, these seamless integrations help get the data into Sumo Logic easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sumo Logic is still a new product which needs a lot more exposure in terms of supporting other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Openpath integrations with Sumo Logic needs a feature to be added which is being worked on by the Sumo Logic team.
Amazing customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Best thing that we experienced was their customer service and their willingness to help us out based on our need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike but it will be helpful to have some more documentation on services that sumo logic offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sumo logic is helping us in ingesting our AWS data and even it's SIEM solution is very helpful from security perspective
