Celonis - amazing tool to uncover and action on the frictions within business

This is an amazing tool which an help to identify all the frictions at a centralized place and can take actions proactively with the help of action engine alerts, I would strongly recommend people to use this tool and realize the complete Value Potential from it.........................................

transparency on the as is processes based on the event file from you workflow and ERP Tools.
Straight forward UX and easy to use even without "coding skills"
drag and drop analysis makes it great for simple analysis

What do you dislike about the product?
more options for visualisation would be great, a lot of use cases are hard to implement as the we do not look at standard processes
Consider using the cloud version, it gives much more functionality regarding automation and transparency than the on premise version of the tool. start with one process and have clear use cases in mind you would like to analyse. it does not work well to visualize a process without any clear questions on your mind you would like to answer. in general we found it difficult to generate general insights that did not go hand in hand with a gut feeling we had before. you realy need to know what you are looking for.
We included our custome processes wich makes it difficult because you cannot gain alot from other companies experiences. you have to build everything from scratch and cannot go back to standard templates celonis already has in their library. this is realy a pitfall or a USP if you look for your standard accounting processes and dont want to look into your custom processes.

process transparency incl. efficiency, we just implemented celonis with our work flow management tool, so that we did not gain many insights yet. we already got a great transparency that has been scattered across different applications before and needed a lot of manual rework to put it together for the transparency we needed. we are looking forward to realize the full potential of celonis soon.

What do you like best about the product?
Celonis provides you a massive processmining tool. The great thing here is that you might start with a specific topic but gain much more knowledge than expected. The detailed information is huge.

The implementation to get the tool properly running takes some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are process mining the purchase to pay process. It give us an intral view from the company internal customers over to the procurement department to the accounting department.
It allows us to see which purchasing processes are running bad and where inefficiencies exist

What do you like best about the product?
The easy data connection to the source systems. The speed of the software. The vizualization of big data. The app store that is bringing new ideas and pre-defined data mining solutions to your attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
The X-functional competencies of Celonis consultants and their understanding of business processes. The team structure in implementation projects as no different levels of seniority are present in the team. Further, there seems to be no quality assurance process that guarantees the correctness and completeness of customized scripts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have visibility on our as is processes. We were able to identify several areas for improvement in the form of direct savings and potential process improvement and efficiency measures.

Great Data Mining tool - Simple to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Celonis is a great data mining tool, the best feature is process explorer, where with simple clicks, you can analyze deviations or rework steps in your process. Simple to use, simple to develop.
What do you dislike about the product?
The back-end structure in Celonis, extractions and data transformations require a high level knowledge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Celonis it's were possible to track all behaviors related to Payments and deviations on the P2P process. The implementation is still in progress on the company, benefits can be measured in the future.

Celonis is not a Data Analytic tool that you delivery static reports, It's a way to explore the entire process, It's a data mining tool.
Perfect tool for management and optimization
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to analyze your global processes at your fingertips, easily build and create critical KPIs, and focus on specific non-standardized processes. Once the data model definition is complete, it is great that the analyst's profile can perform many activities on their own without any IT support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool does not incorporate some standard SAP tools and databases in its basic configuration for PtP and AP processing, such as SAP's SRM and VIM tools. It is essential to complete the data model definition. Our SAP store has very few modifications to SAP. In fact, we do not have additional data tables. We have used all the standard SAP-supported add-ons. Celonis should incorporate additional modules, such as SRM and VIM, into its standard configuration package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily identify non-compliant activities within standard processes and the resolution of objectives through education or improvements to our process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Project teams and business teams must provide the necessary time and effort to define the data models. If your data model is not correct and the activity definitions are not clearly defined, the tool will be of no use after implementation. It will only cause additional confusion.

An Effective, Visually Impressive Mining Display To Improve Web Function
What do you like best about the product?
Our firm first used the generous, no card required, 30 day trial of Celonis to test the various processes performed by our media website when a visitor interacts with a site function. Even we were surprised by the neat display of progressive functioning and how the application clearly displayed what can be improved upon to make the function at hand quicker and/or more reliable every time someone interacts with the media.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the flow charts were either slow to display or, ironically, mis titled. However, we were able to manually fix this with the help of their customer support team. Sometimes the application did not adapt to accurately diagnosis different functions on the website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to diagnosis potential issues and higher traffic times before they happen so we can appropriately prepare. It is also a cost effective option and useful for both large and smaller firms, and will likely yield unexpected results as their is a multitude of "behind the scenes" functioning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The paid version includes great features that were beta tested in trial version, so it is reliable. Customer service is also very welcoming and knowledgable if you have any issues.
