Frequent User of Statsig - confusing interface

  • December 13, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Statsig makes it very easy to analyze the results. The graphs they provide are easy to read and you can click on each metric for additional insights, charting and statistical significance. At a quick glance you can see what is going on with the experiment
What do you dislike about the product?
I find some of the features when submitting an experiment to be quite confusing. For example the allocation duration, cohort duration and total experiment time fields are not clear. Additionally, most of our experiments we analyze one week after allocation and there is no option to do this in Statsig
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Statsig helps us see every experiment currently being run in the organization and what is performing well. Statsig also helps me determine significance of metrics (something I used to manually calculate) and it saves me from writing up results - I can now just link stakeholders to the experiment.

Great tool for A/B testing

  • December 08, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's an objective way of evaluating experiments and the trade offs of taking it live.
Apart from this also a great way to check long term goodness via holdout, along with helping in RCAs for metric movements
What do you dislike about the product?
For a company our size, takes a lot of time for expts to end
Multivariate testing takes time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Statsig helps us in setting up A/B tests, conducting the tests, shows metrics, helps in feature rollouts, also helps with metric RCAs

What do you like best about the product?
Using this as a startup and it gives us advanced abilities only available in large organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Been a bit of a learning curve to get up to speed but it feels like we're there and i suspect its an easier learning curve than other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Validating user interest and demand.

What do you like best about the product?
it is very simple and easy to use, has diverse features and allows us to have deep insight into our product by carrying out experiments and A/B testing tools. It is also very well documented with detailed explanation. You can also easily integrate it into the code.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing I can think of for now . It does the job
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing us to have good decision making by carrying out experiments which positively affects our decision making. It also gives us deeper insight into our consumer behavior.

One of the best tools for setting up and evaluating experiments

  • November 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Statsig is a true swiss army knife for setting up feature gates and experiments.
It's widely supported through a range of platforms/programming languages. It also also all the tools included to do proper analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
We currently use Google Analytics to do a lot of reporting. There seems to be no easy way to use the GA4 client_id as a statsig custom ID.
You can however easily set custom ids but the caveat here is that it's not easy to get the one from GA4.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very flexible setup and follow up of experiments.

Innovative tool with fantastic support team!

What do you like best about the product?
Statsig has wildly exceeded my expectations! Our company had never had any sort of testing before, and when we were looking through platforms, it was hard to know what we needed. But the StatSig team was super willing to work with us on contract price and help us through setup and implementation. They're super responsive to any questions we have, whether it's a technical implementation question or a question on how to explain something tricky to a stakeholder. The tool itself has been great - it's straightforward to use, which has really helped with adoption amongst the team and to start building more of a testing culture at our company. Their team is also really responsive to feature requests and actually implements feedback into their roadmap - a lot of companies say they'll do this during the sales process but then never follow through. I'd recommend StatSig for any company starting out with experimentation and testing!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I can think of is that it's just an experimentation platform, so I do have to use it separately from our other product analytics tools. But that hasn't been a real pain point!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Statsig is helping us understand the impact of product features we release. Before using StatSig, we would just ship features and pray that they'd change the bottom line (and usually, they didn't). Now, by having a way to test all of our releases, we can be more strategic about our roadmap planning, understand the impact (or lack of) of the work we're doing, and allocate our dev resources more effectively. It's entirely changed the culture at our company and how we think about product!

StatSig - A great tool for feature flags

  • November 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
+ It works and is relibable.
+ It is well documented
+ Plenty of adapters (React/Vanilla JS, HTML, etc...)
+ Experiments feature is super nice
+ Integration is super easy
What do you dislike about the product?
- SDK Documentation is wrong (It says "env" instead of StatSig env) - caused a bug on our side.
- Can't add desription to feature gates - when a company grows and works on multiple things, Devs might not know what other people are working on.
- Can't bulk delete feature gates - You must enter into gates one-by-one and delete them.
- The SDK does not support lazy initialization, or refreshing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in a StartUp company, if we needed to implement our own feature gate mechanisms, we would have lost of a ton of time.
It's great that Statsig is a solution that actually solves this for me, and for a great price as well.

Best Web Analytics Platform

  • November 23, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I loved the granularity of the platform. Loved how everything can be tracked plus session replays are extremely useful. Overall wonderful platform
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration process was a but of an issue after moving away from Vercel Analytics where the whole thing was set up instantly using a single component in layout.tsx.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me solve where my users are coming from, how they are using it and also how much they are using it.

Need to improve the first integration part

  • November 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It needs to improve the details of how to do the integration, including some sample codes and making it clearer how the logs part works, separated from the development and production environments.

In addition to recommendations or tips on how to create logs focused on user journeys.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, it's been difficult to learn without having to consult the documentation, so that it's not a very technical tool. We're migrating from Mixpanel, and there it's a certain ease of doing things that we haven't found yet in this migration. But there could be an examples tab or something like that, without having to leave the dashboard and that would be quick to consult, like short videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are migrating from Mixpanel because it has become an expensive tool and does not have integration with A/B testing.

Great platform for Experimentation A/B/n tests

  • November 21, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Their product is constantly innovating, and adding features. The StatSig team is very responsive. Setup is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Relatively new company, so there's occaisional issues with uptime. Support is done over Slack and not their own ticketing system which is not ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feature flagging to enable Continuous Deployment without risk, and A/B/n testing with excellent post-experiment analytics.
