Well-Polished Decentralized Chat With Full Data Ownership
What do you like best about the product?
It's a well-polished chat application that's completely decentralized. You own your own data, that's huge.
What do you dislike about the product?
They started requiring licensing for too much of the app. Basic features are now behind a licensed wall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a means for users to own their data. The server can be run by a trusted party.

The Live Agent feature and how easy it is to integrate it into my website.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve and its development and its UI could be better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The live agent feature is helping in supporting our customers in realtime.
Easy to Use, Highly Customizable, and Great Dialogflow Integration
What do you like best about the product?
It has been helpful for our clients. We’ve been using the Community edition, and we’re able to modify it to suit our use cases. It’s easy to use, and its integration with Google Dialogflow and an agentic architecture is a real boon. It’s also straightforward to deploy on our website, internal CRKs, WhatsApp, and other social media channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s still using an older version of MeteorJS, and because of that we aren’t able to integrate front-end enhancements easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us deploy our bot on social media channels and also gives us the capability to add live agents when needed.

I like Rocket.Chat for its simplicity and real-time communication. It's very easy to understand and use, so we don't need to train employees on it. Everything's centralized, allowing my whole company to work and share thoughts together, which is great for team communication.

Maybe the user interface because compared to other tools it's less impressive, other things are good.

I really like that we can self-host Rocket.Chat, which gives us full control over our data and privacy the marketplace for integrations is also a big plus for our team's workflow
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the mobile application feels a bit sluggish, and it takes longer to load large files or high-resolution images. Also, the notification system needs more customization options

Rocket.Chat has helped us centralize our team communication in a secure, self-hosted environment. It solved the issue of fragmented conversations across different platforms and improved our overall productivity by keeping all project-related discussions and files in one place

It is a great way to keep in immediate touch with colleagues, making it simpler to communicate and share information.

It is the poorer cousin of Slack. It can be a little clunky when searching. It is hosted by the institution so support seems to be less robust.

It allows me to message in real time, reducing wait time for responses. I am able to store messages for future use, making it easier to find information when needed.
