Unique capabilities unmatched by any other means
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to get automated three years Saving Plans coverage without the commitment is huge, especially when you got an unpredictable workload spread between different regions and different instance families. It basically cuts your EC2 spendings by 40%
They also offer a 100% refund for unused commitments.
There's also a very promising Zesty Disk that can also bring unmatched capabilities. I haven't put it to the test yet, though.

The product lacks good visibility into the Saving Pans management, and the information available from AWS is also lacking

What do you like best about the product?
I was easily able to convert the IAM permissions into terraform policies for controlled deploys, rather than using cloudformation.

Not having an alternative integration option with accounts.

Smart & easy way for cost optimization on AWS
What do you like best about the product?
Zesty is a completely automated platform for managing RI's and the team is extremely proactive and helpful in onboarding and helping us track to achieve cost optimization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they have support for RDS and other managed services.

AWS cost savings with No Risk
What do you like best about the product?
The cost savings with 0 risk is fantastic. When I first got the cold call from them, I thought this is too good to be true; there has to be a catch. I did several reference checks and all said it was great with no downside, so I pitched it to the board. Because we work with HIPAA data, it took several weeks to clear legal and validate all of the permission sets they would be using. In the end, they are doing exactly what they committed to doing, saving us money each month. With the permissions they have, there is no access to HIPAA data or systems, so it is 100% secure and safe on that front. Additionally, their reporting system is easy to navigate and find where your costs are coming from. In my case, we were able to locate 200TB+ of S3 storage that was lost in the subfolders that we were able to delete and save $1500 each month with no cost from them as that is just part of the included reporting module.
Setup and onboarding was a breeze and exactly as advertised. If they don't save you money your don't pay anything.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were additional options to export the graphical reports and slice them differently. They are constantly adding to the reporting, so I am sure it will be there soon. Because we are mostly a Windows shop with MS SQL Enterprise being 40% of our spend, our EC2 savings is a bit lower than some of their other clients; however, we are still seeing around 35% savings on average.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zesty has helped us control our AWS EC2 cost and provided additional visibility into where the spend is. After several months with them, we are seeing on average around a 35%+ savings each month on our EC2 spend.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just do it, they are a great company. There is no risk and no long-term contract.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s fast, simple, and does what it says it does. We saved significantly on EC2 with no effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been some minor bugs/UX issues, but they usually get fixed fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Zesty, we were relying too heavily on on-demand resources and oftentimes, overprovisioned our EC2 commitments since our needs were so unpredictable. Zesty automatically purchases and sells RIs and Savings plans according to our real-time needs so this is no longer an issue.

What do you like best about the product?
Zesty is amazing to optimize the cost of EC2 OnDemand workloads. It is not easy to predict, plan & maintain the use-cases for a year with a highly Dynamic Scale, but same time we wish to get the best pricing. Zesty helps here.

Great savings with low risk
What do you like best about the product?
We've made some massive savings to our AWS bill with low risk and not much ongoing effort on our side. Zesty has done as promised, and we're happy with the service!

The dashboard is inadequate and cannot be relied upon; we still have to use AWS Cost Explorer to understand what is going on

We have reduced our EC2 spend a lot without having to make commitments or to spend time managing our reservations. We now have almost zero on-demand EC2 spend.

Make sure you can use AWS Cost Explorer to understand your EC2 usage before and after getting Zesty.

We want to save as much money as we can without having to devote resources. Zesty has generated savings off of our EC2 bill without changing our workloads. We only pay a percentage of the savings.

What do you like best about the product?
The cost savings are outstanding, and the dashboard is simple yet, communicates the essentials. The implementation was speedy. The staff are very engaged and work to ensure you have a successful implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would help to know what is part of the coverage, for instance. listing the RIs to existing workloads. But overall, I am pleased with the output.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The corporate business needs are dynamic, and using the traditional method of purchasing RIs was not efficient. In some cases, buying an RI using traditional AWS methods created some waste, as the workload became inappropriate for the business requirements. The dynamic nature of Zesty's platform removed the hassle and allowed us to focus on rightsizing the workloads, and Zesty took care of the savings for us. Within the 1st month we saw excellent results!
