Global Identity Management Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Since adopting SailPoint ISC in 2021, we've seen steady progress in establishing it as a global tool for managing identities, user accounts, and access. The platform has proven to be a solid foundation for centralized identity governance, offering key functionalities that support compliance and operational efficiency across regions.
ISC remains a strategic asset in our identity management landscape. Its scalability and integration capabilities make it well-suited for global deployment, and we appreciate its potential to unify identity processes across diverse environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, the pace of improvements has not always aligned with our expectations. While some enhancements have been valuable, others have taken longer to materialise, which has occasionally impacted our ability to respond quickly to evolving business needs.
We encourage continued investment in:
- Faster rollout of enhancements, especially those impacting automation and regional compliance.
- Improved user experience and interface responsiveness.
- More flexible configuration options to support time zone-sensitive processes and localized needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accelerated Rollout of Enhancements
While SailPoint ISC has introduced valuable features over time, the pace of improvements has been slower than anticipated. A particular concern is the IDEA portal, which is intended to facilitate user-driven innovation. Unfortunately, it has not functioned effectively—many ideas submitted since the beginning of the project remain unaddressed, with little to no interaction from the product management team. We strongly encourage more proactive engagement and transparency in the enhancement pipeline.
Enhanced User Experience and Interface Responsiveness
The platform would benefit from a more intuitive and responsive user interface. Streamlining navigation, reducing latency, and improving the overall user journey would significantly enhance productivity and user satisfaction.
Flexible Configuration for Time Zone and Regional Needs
As a global organization, we require more adaptable configuration options to support time zone-sensitive processes and localized compliance requirements. The ability to tailor settings by region or country is essential for ensuring operational accuracy and meeting local regulations. This flexibility would make ISC more effective and scalable across diverse geographies.

sailpoint review
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about SailPoint is its ability to provide centralized, automated identity governance across a diverse set of applications. The platform's flexibility in customizing provisioning workflows, implementing RBAC, and enforcing access policies makes it both powerful and scalable. I also appreciate how access reviews and audit trails are built-in, which helps ensure compliance without added complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
While SailPoint is powerful and flexible, one challenge I’ve faced is that certain customizations — especially around rules, workflows, and connector configurations — can become complex and require deep technical knowledge. Also, error messages aren't always descriptive, which can slow down troubleshooting. However, with experience and proper logging, these issues become manageable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SailPoint is solving the critical problem of managing user access across a growing number of applications in a secure, automated, and compliant way. It helps eliminate manual provisioning, ensures that only the right people have the right access at the right time, and supports periodic access reviews for compliance. This benefits me by streamlining identity governance processes, reducing risk, and giving better visibility into who has access to what — all from a centralized platform.

The leader in IDM
What do you like best about the product?
They've been in the game the longest and have thought the longest about all of the use cases in identity management. Moreover, they have a lot of talent that has been there 10+ years, so they have true experts that can explain how things work and help organizations get ISC up and running quickly. ISC is quickly being brought up to, and beyond, feature parity with IIQ.
What do you dislike about the product?
IIQ was and still is kind of a mess, but in a system with so much customization possible with fewer and fewer competent devs, this is to be expected. To some extent, there is a focus on AI when regular feature development might be more useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sailpoint is working on making IAM idiot-proof, which if you've been in the game a while you know that it is something that is sorely needed.
User access management excels but needs enhancements with integration capabilities
What is our primary use case?
We are already using SailPoint Identity Security Cloud in that space for the ID perspective and I think I did this inquiry quite some time back.
We are using SailPoint Identity Security Cloud to manage the identity life cycle, which includes managing recertification, confirming the status of account access, and determining when account access has to be revoked.
What is most valuable?
Managing user access has been a specific action with the operations team, and they would be able to provide updates. I'm part of the cyber assurance team, so these operational aspects or tool usage-related questions need to be checked with the operations team members.
We have role management and groups management taken care of, and there are no challenges highlighted in that area.
We have managed our identity governance with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud while dealing with some legacy systems and moving to the latest versions on-prem or cloud related stuff, managing both the physical machines configured in our environment and the on-prem or cloud related machines effectively without seeing any difference in solution speed or service.
What needs improvement?
I was aware of that because I used to manage these solutions earlier on, but it was purchased by the Procurement team, so I was not involved in any of those.
There are certain details I may not be able to disclose currently, but we can speak in general about a number of products and tools that are ongoing.
I have not been using access management controls here, so I don't have the latest features or details or hands-on experience in that space.
I cannot share all the details about the improvements in security operations since we were exploring some products, but I'm familiar with Saviynt as I was one of their partners for other solutions, and currently, I cannot disclose a lot of performance related to my current roles.
For how long have I used the solution?
With my new company, we have been using SailPoint Identity Security Cloud for four years now.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I am satisfied with the overall performance and stability.
How are customer service and support?
I am satisfied with their technical support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
In general, I have handled Okta and OpenText and noted that those companies have a longer history in the market, which gives them an advantage over SailPoint Identity Security Cloud and Saviynt in aspects like account provisioning and life cycle management.
What other advice do I have?
There are many points which we have highlighted for SailPoint Identity Security Cloud or the identity aspect, but we will not have enough time to disclose all those details here on this call.
The price is on a competitive edge, but as the number of suites and licenses increases, it adds more value. If we need to adhere to compliance like HIPAA, SOX, or GDPR, it remains competitive.
I have been a customer and have handled some of the biggest contracts that Saviynt and SailPoint Identity Security Cloud have managed.
On a scale of 1-10, I rate SailPoint Identity Security Cloud a seven out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Hybrid Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

In addition to the various connectors, the possibility of connecting via Webservice makes the application robust.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is essential to improve the application support team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a system that centralizes access management. Its benefits include: easy implementation, connectivity, and ease of parameterizing scenarios according to the organization's legacy system.
