What do you like best about the product?
SailPoint provides outstanding orchestration and governance capabilities that, when properly implemented, can significantly strengthen identity lifecycle management across the enterprise. Its ability to centralize and enforce IGA controls is one of its greatest strengths—allowing organizations to automate complex workflows, maintain compliance, and improve operational efficiency.
However, realizing this value depends heavily on a well-structured deployment and standardized utilization. The platform offers strong ease of use once processes are established, but it’s not a simple “plug and play” solution. To unlock its full potential, organizations must invest the time to design thoughtful governance models, align business processes, and maintain disciplined operational practices.
When these elements are in place, SailPoint delivers impressive results: streamlined provisioning, stronger security postures, and better visibility and control over identities and access across the environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
While SailPoint is a strong platform, it can become overly complex when organizations lean too heavily on customizations. Excessive tailoring often introduces unnecessary technical debt, making upgrades and long-term maintenance more difficult.
In SailPoint IIQ specifically, it can be challenging to get clean, easily interpretable data to fully understand the underlying logic and processes. This can slow down troubleshooting and limit visibility for teams who weren’t part of the original build. Additionally, application onboarding in IIQ can be cumbersome and time-consuming, often requiring significant engineering effort and coordination.
Although SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) introduces new features that address many of these pain points—such as standardized connectors and improved onboarding frameworks—IIQ still places the burden on the organization to manage complexity carefully. For teams still on IIQ, these challenges can impact ease of use and slow the pace of identity governance modernization.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SailPoint has been instrumental in helping us centralize and automate our identity governance, moving us away from manual processes toward more standardized controls. This shift has improved our compliance, sped up provisioning, and provided us with clearer visibility into access throughout the organization. As a result, we have strengthened our security and enhanced our overall operational efficiency.
SailPoint is reliable for the most part.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of data modeling, certifications make UARs a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom code/rules are locked behind a paywall. There are upper limits on many of the policies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product offers user access reviews, auditing capabilities, and complete lifecycle automation.
IGA Leader
What do you like best about the product?
SailPoint offers an easy to navigate product with extensive documentation which makes implementation a manageable task. The product comes with a whole lot of product specific connectors and also some standard connectors which can be used to integrate with a wide variety of systems. The user community of SailPoint is also quite active and supportive.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is feature rich and they have a steady pipeline of features being rolled out, ideas from customers can take a long time to get on the roadmap. The other thing which I displiek about SAilPoint is the reluctance of their support team to get on a call to resolve issues. They are happy exchanging emails over days/weeks on issues which can be resolved over a 10 minute call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SailPoint is helping me automate a range of governance activities and broaden the identity conversation.
Continued Platform Investment and Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is that SailPoint continues to invest heavily in their SaaS solution, looking for ways to enhance the overall capabilities of their product. This leads to increasing opportunities for expanded usage and modernization. It is also fairly intuitive product that is easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are really 2 things that I dislike. First, the support model for their tooling that always consists of looking to push you toward a paid service and the paid service is essentially on a token system. You get so many tokens depending on how much money you give them, but those tokens expire after a year. The other thing is also related to pricing and costs. SailPoint has invested in the addition of features and modules that support their core product, but everything comes at an additional cost. DAS, NERM,Risk Mgmt, Pwd Mgmt, etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provisioning and LifeCycle Management Automation are the biggest wins for us with using SailPoint. We also use it heavily for Access Requests and User Access Certifications and continue to expand on that usage regularly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Their cloud solution just getting mature and not all solutions from the on prem is available on cloud yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
custom solutions to complex financial industry use cases
Global Identity Management Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Since adopting SailPoint ISC in 2021, we've seen steady progress in establishing it as a global tool for managing identities, user accounts, and access. The platform has proven to be a solid foundation for centralized identity governance, offering key functionalities that support compliance and operational efficiency across regions.
ISC remains a strategic asset in our identity management landscape. Its scalability and integration capabilities make it well-suited for global deployment, and we appreciate its potential to unify identity processes across diverse environments.

What do you dislike about the product?
However, the pace of improvements has not always aligned with our expectations. While some enhancements have been valuable, others have taken longer to materialise, which has occasionally impacted our ability to respond quickly to evolving business needs.
We encourage continued investment in:
- Faster rollout of enhancements, especially those impacting automation and regional compliance.
- Improved user experience and interface responsiveness.
- More flexible configuration options to support time zone-sensitive processes and localized needs.

Accelerated Rollout of Enhancements
While SailPoint ISC has introduced valuable features over time, the pace of improvements has been slower than anticipated. A particular concern is the IDEA portal, which is intended to facilitate user-driven innovation. Unfortunately, it has not functioned effectively—many ideas submitted since the beginning of the project remain unaddressed, with little to no interaction from the product management team. We strongly encourage more proactive engagement and transparency in the enhancement pipeline.
Enhanced User Experience and Interface Responsiveness
The platform would benefit from a more intuitive and responsive user interface. Streamlining navigation, reducing latency, and improving the overall user journey would significantly enhance productivity and user satisfaction.
Flexible Configuration for Time Zone and Regional Needs
As a global organization, we require more adaptable configuration options to support time zone-sensitive processes and localized compliance requirements. The ability to tailor settings by region or country is essential for ensuring operational accuracy and meeting local regulations. This flexibility would make ISC more effective and scalable across diverse geographies.
