What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is easy to use and implement. The software is truly business owned.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not easy to sell internally. Most businesses use SAP & SAC.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Anaplan as a planning software is much easier to use as a front-end user than SAC. It is also much faster to implement on the backend than SAC.

In memory calculation engine, which provides real-time outputs for any inputs entered.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Financial Planning and Consolidation is the use case we have implemented. Anaplan model helps in reducing the planning cycle from Months to days.

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is an excellent financial planning tool with many functionalities to solve a lot of business problems. As it is very user-friendly, users adapt to it very fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of reporting and dashboarding capabilities makes it difficult to design the reports as per the requirements, but Anaplan is improving it day by day and soon, it will be the best tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving all our Financial Analytics problems which include Business Planning, Quota Management, Territory Management, Account Planning, segment Planning, and Headcount PLanning

What do you like best about the product?
I am a certified Anaplanner and have obtained two certifications on same; What I like about Anaplan is the way all the modules are presented in it and how we can easily create projects and workflows from a planning perspective; we used Anaplan for a Client Project, and it was integrated with the CLient Sales system as a planning and forecasting tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan still has the potential to improve its UI; become more easily integrable with other software; reduce costs for the commercial version to gain market acceptance, and finally can be easier to understand or comprehend to make it more understandable to a layman working in Sales roles; Consulting and related occupations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits: We were solving problems related to Sales Forecasting for an MNC which was using Analplan for sale planning and forecasting - Being a certified Anaplanner, I built workflows in Anaplan and leveraged various tables and lists to implement my workflow on the Dashboards
Great way to automate and streamline business processes!
What do you like best about the product?
System flexibility. Anaplan can be used for many different use cases, from simple data aggregation to complex forecasting and calculations. Powerful calculation engines that are behind the scenes can be simplified with user-friendly front-end dashboards, enabling standardized processes and the ability to onboard users at every level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan is extremely forward-thinking. Sometimes they focus on marketing the "future state" a little bit too much (i.e. AI) while they still have some enhancements to the existing core functionality that would also benefit their cutomers. I would prefer their teams focus on some of those items before moving on to the "future".

We are utilizing Anaplan for many different use cases that I have listed below, all resulting in streamlined standardization of processes across the firm.

It's customisability, robustness and flexibility with data sources

Anaplan's Management Reporting feature needs a snap to grid function

What do you dislike about the product?
The native versions used in Anaplan are not a great solution when running numerous scenarios. Instead, you have to use a list alternative, which you lose some of the great functionality of using native versions.

A fantastic system with Many Applications
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of the Anaplan system makes for an intuitive planning system that can be tailored to many applications for instance, Resource planning, Fund management, Budgeting, and forecasting longer term
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very few things I dislike about the platform and Anaplan are very good at responding to criticisms for instance the old dashboard system we clunky how every they have in the last year and a bit launched the new dashboards which are a leap forward and continue to added to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been working on various challenges with Anaplan. Asset planning, Fund reporting, Engineering Project forecasting through to FP&A budget and forecasting models.
You can be a model builder.
What do you like best about the product?
The upsides of Anaplan is the accessibility, all you need is an account, browser and internet connection and your ready to plan.
Another advantage is the ease of implementation, especially with it's ALM features. Deploying updates is a breeze.

What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say that I dislike this, probably room for improvement is integration and system limitation. Every platform has its limitations anyway, but these are some of the things we can look for when looking for ideas for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We encountered problems trying to build a model with workflow, at first it was hard but eventually we pulled it off. I think the agile methodology benefited our project. We can quickly test and make quick adjustments according to the user requirements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want a cloud based platform that is cloud based and easy to implement then this is the one for you.
Anaplan has enabled many organisations I've worked with to optimise several business processes.

Anaplan is flexible, powerful and user-friendly. Model-building techniques can be acquired by the business in order to solve their pain points.

Anaplan lacks some advanced statistical tools and formulas that would enable more complex modeling of decision-making simulations.

With Anaplan, we've solved complex, time-consuming processes such as multi-dimensional forecasting of investment values and cashflows.
