The ease of use of MongoDB specially for beginners users makes it one of my go to databases to recommend to friends who want to get started with databases in general

The fact that MongoDB is not as widespread

Flexibility when it comes to programming language I can utilize to interact programatically with my database

The free courses that help me become more familiarized with the environment of MongoDB especially learning NoSql format.

Still learning with the environment, not much to dislike so far. I enjoy the lessons.

Setting up Mongo for development is pretty easy which is great from a software development standpoint

I personally enjoy the flexibility of the schemaless document store combined with the rich query language
What do you dislike about the product?
The 16MB document size, though I understand why, and gridfs is always an option, is slows things down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real time data, which is highly available, and with election's worth of traffic spikes possible
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dive into it, and do not be afraid of the lack of SQL. Things get better once you leave that realm of thinking.

The resiliency of the system and ability to define various topologies as needed.

Nothing with the product. Difficulty of external systems leveraging the product.

Maintaining a data store of provisioned systems. Ease of storing different properties based off systems rather than defined tables.
