Heap is a great product analytics tool to get to insights quickly
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is great for getting answers quickly on user behaviors without needing to spend engineering effort. It's easy to do, you get data from the last few weeks (depending on your plan), and you can make decisions quicker.
What do you dislike about the product?
Given how the data is tracked, it's never as perfect as instrumenting custom events (which you can do in Heap as well!), and can need some fidgeting to get right (especially with Snapshots). Beyond that, there have been a lot of improvements to the experience to make it easier and create better adoption, but sometimes adds extra clicks to advanced users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap helps us make decisions quicker and helps us keep our engineers focused on building new features instead of new events. Its a great compliment to other business intelligence tools which have more fact-based data.
Heap fits our needs
What do you like best about the product?
Heap lets us visualize and display our data in a way that makes it easy for all employees to see our progress as a company in various areas.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any complaints about Heap at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap is helping us solve a way to get information and metrics to our employees in an easy to understand way.
Heap makes it easy to compile and list data so that even the account managers are able to use
What do you like best about the product?
The hover function for each item makes it easy to find what you are looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
No way to sort by time or date. No way to sort by campaign.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have client data for our system, and when things go wrong, heap makes it easy to see where and why, and most importantly, WHO made the mistake.
Heap is great for product analytics, it's the one that my company uses!
What do you like best about the product?
Good for product analytics. Allows us to take marketing and product data into our overall data lake.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have to pay extra for certain access like api tooling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing data is easy to look at and integrate into our company
Product Manager
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is the easy integration with our system. I like the fact that we can use a lot of different data to get interesting metrics and KPIs in a heartbeat.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I really dislike while using heap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can track and trace progress made on different features' development.
Never feel like we're missing out on capturing data.
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is incredibly intuitive to create trackable events and provides website metrics instantly without need for development work. Most trackable events also work retroactively, so I never feel like we're missing out on capturing data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Heap has some limitations in how the results of an analysis are displayed, with some but minimal customization available. In most cases I find myself exporting the data in csv and managing it in a spreadsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us to learn about our website visitors. We can evaluate the user experience based on their pathing through our site - and we can judge which content areas are best performing or in higher demand.
Heap is a good tool for website click and event analytics.
What do you like best about the product?
Heap has an easy-to-create report process. It guides through with good options for segmenting, filtering, to quickly retrieve data/visualize.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be slow and there are not enough grouping slots (max 4).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
heap is making the UI more intuitive, adding more suggested reports, and has a great visualizer because we can't always take the time to import event data.
Intuitive Insight Builder
What do you like best about the product?
Heaps visualizations and query builder are extremely clear and easy to understand. As a sem--technical user, I'm able to get the insights I need to do my job as a product manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've used Heap on products where we could use their "tagless" experience and ones where we had to add their tags to the code. The tagless is super nice, so I wish you could always use that regardless of your tech stack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a product manager, it is helping me make product decisions based on user behavior and data.

I did feel a little bit overwhelmed with all the options and tracking potential. I think I may have needed to spend some more time on the training materials.
