A Thorough and Easy to Setup Analytics Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is very easy to setup on your website and start tracking important analytics. The dashboards are easy to create and there's a lot of data capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no data prior to installing Heap, so any historical analytics will need to be grabbed from other sources (e.g. a prior setup Google Analytics)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap is allowing us to have greater insight into how to layout our website, how users are interacting with sign up funnels, etc.

Creating multiple dashboards for different users.

The initial time to set up the dashboard and learning aspects of it!

Understanding the user journey.
Heap has been a great way of getting true insights of the customer experience in our app.
What do you like best about the product?
I get the most value from feature funnels. It helps gauge if our workflows are too complex.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is much more difficult to define events using mobile devices.

Heap is helping us understand the usage of our app and its features.

What do you like best about the product?
The results. It is clear to read, I like the different ways you can visually see the results as well. It has been very helpful in tracking usage for our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way you have to build each heap report. Perhaps I don't know enough about it but I find it very confusing and always have to review notes before I can actually use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to see how our clients are using and how often using our platform. It also provides data I can give to my clients.
Great platform
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to implement and use. On the development side, it's got great documentation and is easy to scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. We're able to track anything we like, have granular control of the data being ingested, and minimal impact on site speed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us get insights into anything we want, including how effective certain layouts are to conversion, tracing the customer journey, and tracking conversions.
Powerful Analytic Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
Heap was a breeze to install and started capturing data right away. The ability to test definitions live is what won me over along with the visual tagging feature. I use the tagging feature to define an event and then switch to the live data feed to test whether click events were being tagged with the appropriate definitions. The recent releases have included features that I didn't even know I wanted!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Heap is that I cannot easily validate account properties when enabling server-side custom events. It would be more helpful to be able to choose which custom properties are displayed in the live data feed or have an option to run an Account chart that is similar to the User option.
My only other dislike is not being able to use event properties when using the User chart or being able to filter on a date range to narrow down the results. Heap has been immensely helpful for troubleshooting a customer issue but I have had to get creative with the features available.
I do wish there was an integration with ChurnZero available.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap has made it possible to understand what users are doing in the application, which features are being abandoned and where users may be struggling. It also allows Product Managers to see how well new enhancements are improving and identify users to interview. All of this data will be used to improve our application.

What do you like best about the product?
The functionality to quickly create and manipulate dashboards is a game changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the ability to drop in notes or comments as we see various events take place or specific trendlines.

Real-time reporting without the need for hours of coding. Seemless integrations and no heavy load times.
Has an answer to almost any questions
What do you like best about the product?
Heap offers a lot of flexibility with its filters (and joiners), groupings and historical comparisons. The multiple types of Charts allow us to find the best fit for the question we're looking to answer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Removing an event when filters/groups are applied resets those filters/groups, even when they're available on the other events/replacement event can get frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap allows us to quickly find answers to the questions asked by teams whose decisions are often driven by data (product, sales, etc.).
Very Reliable tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is very accurate and reliable regarding reporting and getting figures on your project correctly. you can easily play or navigate functions, you will never get lost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somehow it will be more helpful if there is some tutorial video about getting started. Support must provide a response quickly in real-time to answer your questions if there is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a project that requires data and counts for our referral program, Heap provide me with the exact figures, and that help as my reference when counter-checking that in our system.
