Easy to understand
What do you like best about the product?
I loved Heap Academy - it helped me get started and understand what I needed to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it's an analytics platform, there's a bit of a learning curve, but that always takes time especially when it comes to Analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to determine user actions through Heap. I love the live browser view where I can see real time and pick items and don't require engineering to come in and code for me.
Heap review
What do you like best about the product?
As an admininistrator for this application I find it very simple to add new users. I haven't had any reason to contact support due to not being able to add a user or for a user not being able to login.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't use it for analytics myself. I actually provide access to users. But as an admin I find it easy to add new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an analytics tool, it seems very easy to navigate through. I'm one of 5 techs that adds new users to this application.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
From the administrator side, it is straight forward to add users. Heap is an application that was being used or implemented when I joined. To my knowledge we haven't used any other applications with the same purpose. Ialso haven't heard if there were thoughts or reasons to change from Heap. There hasn't been any anyone speaking of another option in any of the meetings I have attended.
It gets the job done. Makes reporting simple
What do you like best about the product?
Integration was effortless via Segment, and the tool is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Chart types need work. Especially, the table chart format is not practical.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving marketing performance reporting and analytics needs. The data is real-time, and it doesn't require any SQL engineering to pull data.
Heap helps our product analytics to keep up with our product, without slowing us down
What do you like best about the product?
Heap's ability to capture critical events before we know to define events for them means our analytics needs don't get in the way of engineering product development. The easy data sync capabilities allow us to integrate our user behavior data into our analytics workflows seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Heap's in-app analytics tools can have their limitations or sometimes be inflexible, but in those cases we are always able to make use of the raw sync'd data to get at what we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Heap to pair user-level data and metrics to client and advertiser growth and success on our platform, enabling us to identify and encourage behaviors that lead to successful experiences in the platform.
Very intuitive and useful tool
What do you like best about the product?
I find Heap to be a very valuable asset in our Website analytics team. The UI is very intuitive; the connection to our data warehouse was easy to setup and update and overall the quality of the data that we receive from Heap is very good with minimal data loss.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no main complaints with Heap. I think potentially the one thing that comes to mind would most likely be creating better Tutorial or 'How to Use' docs for ramping up new team members to Heap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we are solving is dynamic product impression data. We use Heap to capture impressions of products that are only served to customers as they scroll through our sight. This is used to help create more in-depth metrics about product performance
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Potentially there are additional use cases of Heap beyond our current use. It would be interesting to chat with the Heap reps to see the new use cases that they are rolling out.
Really intuitive and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to create my own events in a live view. I don't need engineering support and am able to pull data quickly. The dashboards are really easy to put together and I'm able to save metrics per feature and project.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to set cohorts based on the company, need a way to pull the user data and tie them with the company name and actual user name.
The timing segmentation is also a little difficult to use, but this is probably our own engineering issue. We aren't able to save dates after an event is triggered.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to be a metric-forward startup and set KPIs for each feature that we build. With Heap, we're able to pull data and share the impact that we've built for each feature.

What do you like best about the product?
visualizer - the ability to report on front-end events retroactively
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations on reporting filters. For example, adding properties to each event on the graph report and users report
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
data inconsistency or confusion- for example on the retention report, when charting retention rate over time of users that have done X action, the chart shows data exists for a longer timeframe than the time X was live, in other words, before it ever launched.
Benefits are UX, saved reports, dashboard, visualizer, and easy to create definitions

Integrations and custom reporting helped us drive free trial conversions
What do you like best about the product?
Marketo and Intercom integrations saved our marketing teams a ton of time segmenting leads based on level of engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboards were challenging to navigate at first. We needed the highest level KPIs to report at the stakeholder level, and our reports were too complex for the team to understand at a glance. I wish we could have simple metric widgets based on our data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Free trial conversion tracking was much faster to set up and analyze using Heap over our previous tech stack. The integration with Marketo and Intercom allowed us to segment and target leads based on behavior. The most significant benefit was time saved.
Tag Events Quickly
What do you like best about the product?
Like the easy way to tag and start to measure. Love the auto capture eventes, best part of Heap.
What do you dislike about the product?
The graphs could be better with more tags and be more dynamic. Also, the way of creat informs sometimes i feel like its just quickly review. I have to check mi app data in other platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The way or users navigate throw our tools and how retention works
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will love Heap if your major user case in a web , e-commerce page

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use this if you are looking for quick and easy front-end analytics. Look elsewhere if there is a heavy back-end requirement for what you are trying to do.
