Customer journey and funnel insights
Our source of truth
What do you like best about the product?
you can create your own events and segments, and parse data almost any way you want
the granularity you get in heap is unparalleled. for instance, in google analytics, your mostly seeing last click data and and that heavily favors google advertising, but in heap, you can choose if you want to filter by initial referrer etc, much easier and this gives you a better picture of how your marketing channels are actually performing.
We also use VWO for site AB testing and you can port those tests into heap to get test results that way, which has been huge for us

What do you dislike about the product?
its kind of hard to come into the platform and start working, there are a lot of events and segments in there and its hard to know if you are looking at the right thing. a lot of this is from other people creating definitions, historical definitions, and porting in shopify data which requires one to understand each definition's meaning in shopify. with a few uses you get used to it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- conversion rate and where it can be improved at various steps of the funnel
- whether a marketing channel is actually contributing to revenue...platforms always report higher numbers than is actually true and incremental, and heap is a more conservative source of truth
- better analytics for AB testing on site, we use VWO and data is limited and not as strong there...heap makes its easy to analyze these test results
- for marketing channels that dont have as much tracking capability, we use UTM parameters and heap to track performance

Recommendations to others considering the product:
use it!! i think its really great
Heap allows all things data (tracking, insights, data hygiene) to be crowd sourced effectively
What do you like best about the product?
I love that developers aren't required to implement and update tracking and tags. Really love that you verify events and reports that are built. Love that my team can create insights without requiring help from analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their automated/triggered reports seems to be buggy. They send on time, but not with the correct data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's enabled our site operations and product management team to apply data insights to real-time questions and decisions on where to focus optimization efforts.
A great product analytics tool helping you to make the right decisions
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is very simple to use and allows you to uncover a ton of insights. We used to use Google Analytics before, and this is incomparable. I particularly enjoy the fact that Heap captures everything by default and you can dig into it after, making it particularly useful when you want to dig into a topic you were not covering before to already have some rich data from clicks to pageviews and more. It really made the difference when we were trying to understand some blockers in our customer experience and has had a direct impact on our bottom line. It is also quite easy to scale across the company, we rapidly scaled to 20+ users on it even for users with limited previous data exposure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to say on that front, honestly really pleased with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding what your users are doing on the website and where they are going is unvaluable. We uncovered a lot of pain points / drop-offs and understood also how users were proceeding through our flows which is sometimes different from what you have initially designed. We have graphs on our top performance metrics but also do some more granular analyses on customer actions.
Many insights, as strong as the time you put in
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful ability to hone in on particular actions or stages in a customer journey and dissect them. Retroactively applies most event definitions so you can get a year+ of data as soon as you realize there's something new you want to track.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be difficult to navigate, attempts to be intuitive but at some key points falls short and becomes cumbersome on first build out of a report or event.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily looking at customer behavior on our product pages and checkout to identify how the page is functioning, where we might be able to reduce friction. Helped identify key difference in conversion % between desktop and mobile, user struggles on sign in page, usage of filters and relation to conversion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Invest in learning the nuances and available features. Becomes very powerful as you work with your team and develop an understanding of the depth of information.
Heap is great!
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is a platform that enables us to us to get the numbers and transform those into a story. What was the customer doing at that point? How can we help him?
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Heap had a better sync to databases like Snowflake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer Journey questions. We have been understanding the people that come to our websites better
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider manipulating the data in your own warehouse
Amazing analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
This tool can collect very important amounts of information, it is very easy to use, this platform makes it very easy to create personalized events, it also allows you to track events and extract information from our website, I can track each click and visit of the page, I can also obtain real-time information on user activity, with this tool I can know what type of browser and device users are using, I can also quickly enter and create panels.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not see anything bad with this product, it offers a great service with excellent results, since I have been using this software I have not had any problems with its operation, I have nothing bad to say about Heap, I am very satisfied with its performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool helps me to collect data, it has also allowed me to evaluate how users behave, we can also create events through the platform, it also helped us to track a website in a very simple way, it has also helped us to understand more about users, with this platform we obtain a lot of valuable information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool to perform deep analysis of good quality, it offers very good metrics, to help you make the best decision, if I recommend it.
Incredible Software And Support For Our Complex Tracking Needs
What do you like best about the product?
The support we have recieved from the Auryc team has been amazing.
The amount of data we can extract is phenomenal and gives us complete transparency of the entire user journey which for our industry is ALOT of separate sessions over 90 days on average.
The amount of data we can extract is phenomenal and gives us complete transparency of the entire user journey which for our industry is ALOT of separate sessions over 90 days on average.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is almost too much data (a downside of our industry and how many sessions we recieve) but we are working with the Auryc team to extract the most critical data and understand our users on a much deeper level
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have identified many major holes within our sales funnels, many areas in which we can improve our user engagement and many things that have been frustrating our users and undoubtedly affecting our conversion rates.
It has allowed us to really understand exactly how our audience engage with all of our different pieces of content, how they first find us, how they get bought back into our content and how they eventually make a purchase, or more importantly why they do not make a purchase.

White glove service, powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Auryc's developers are extremely attentive and responsive. Anytime I have a question or a want, they always work with me to find a solution! It's also great that the software has integrations for Google Analytics and Optimizely so I can see everything in one place and give additional qualitative and quantitative insights to our analyses. I also love how it's easy to filter to the web sessions that meet certain criteria, and within each session, the recordings skip idle time and are marked where events of interest occur so I don't have to waist time slogging through hours of recordings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps I'm a little too reliant on Auryc's staff to set things up? But perhaps that's just because I'm still learning. The UI is pretty intuitive and I imagine I'll be much more savvy in no time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are getting additional color to some of the analytics we see with Optimizely and Google Analytics. There are interesting user behaviors that we would NEVER have discovered by just looking at numbers. We have so many new test and design ideas thanks to Auryc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out!
Incredibly powerful data and analytic tool
What do you like best about the product?
So far my experience with Amod and his team are the best feature. After that, the session viewer is a real eye opener into user behavior. Finally, reporting features are available that alert us to issues that affect the user experience and conversions.
What do you dislike about the product?
If anything, the sheer quantity and variety of data is daunting. This is really our issue and not the service. To make the most sense of the data, it would help to have a data expert on staff who understands how to absorb the information and create action plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'll just mention a few:
User pain points in browsing and funnel behavior.
Site errors that are not apparent during in-house testing
Path analysis
The benefits are clear answers and proof of customer behavior.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared to invest time. First, understand what it does and why. Next, use it every day to track key performance metrics that you feel are important. Finally, listen to the Auryc team's recommendations. Their insights are invaluable in getting signal from the noise.
