We are tested using Starburst in Data factory , on one linked service , For Data Comparision it is very easy

A excellent data virtualization product
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Starburst for our service line in our organization. We find the product to be incredible. The feature we use the most is the cross-data source querying data using Starburst. Also, the ability to get data using the Starburst inbuilt APIs. Cross-data source querying allows us to compare the data between different databases and validate the migrated data as we are migrating our on-premise database into Cloud Data Warehousing solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inbuilt APIs could be improved a lot, currently it is little difficult to use it, using pagination.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Starburst enable us to query cross data-source of different types of database. It is an excellent feature that lets us directly use real-time data from different types of databases without actually extracting it. Also, Cross-data source querying allows us to compare the data between different databases and validate the migrated data as we migrate our on-premise database into Cloud Data Warehousing solutions.
Great support for a great product
What do you like best about the product?
Starburst is a great product, it has been very stable, and has enabled our business to make business decisions faster by making a single source of data for all of our sources. The implementation team from Starburst has been extremely helpful, and has worked to help push our team in the right direction and continued to drive us forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am happy that Starburst is implementing built-in row-level filtering and masking. Ranger has been our only pain point with Starburst. That being said, ranger has worked well, it just is implemented as a completely separate application, which requires its own authentication and management system to work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Starburst has made it much easier for our users to access data from different data sources without having to use different tools to connect to those data sources. Additionally, Starburst gives us the ability to apply security filtering necessary for our GovCloud environment.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
We have found that Starburst Enterprise is very easy to deploy, use and administer. The tool has many connectors and can run queries across multiple data sources which power all our ad-hoc analyses from various teams. The support systems are very helpful and the case response time is quite low and resulting in faster resolution.
What do you dislike about the product?
We ran into issues during the upgrade due to some undocumented breaking changes that affected our timelines. Maybe a way to administer adding or removing data catalogs without restarting the cluster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise connectors allow us to easily connect legacy source systems to our modern ones. Starburst Support is extremely helpful and knowledgeable with very technical questions Starburst product features continue to impress, such as Insights and Galaxy, and the integration capabilities are very strong
Starburst helped scale Meesho's workload
What do you like best about the product?
Technology, continious improvement on projects. New features, good support from RSA and customer excellence team, solutioning from RSA and helping with the meesho scale

billing transparency, usage analysis and more recommendations towards query improvement

Starburst has provided us with a highly professional and personalized user experience towards getting us started with their Galaxy offering.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a relatively new offering, Galaxy lacks some of the features found in Starburst Enterprise, however, functionality is being added on a continual basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Starburst, our customers are able to derive business insights from distributed data sources thereby making more informed decisions around their business strategy.

What do you like best about the product?
Starburst has a lot of features that improve the experience in comparison with Trino OpenSource. Besides, a lot of features are still in development. The basic features already fill your requirements to make connections between all your sources into a single point of truth.
What do you dislike about the product?
We spent a good amount of time configuring the certificates with Apache Ranger and Starburst Enterprise. The Helm Chart of Apache Ranger it's not stable right now and maybe I'll switch to Built-in access control that have the same granulity control of Ranger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Starburst helps us to configure a Helm Release that is auditable and easily scalable with all the configurations set to our security pattern. And all the solutions are built-in (control and query editor), that we don't need more complexity to create an environment to consume from Trino (Starburst Enterprise).

Best data platform on the market
What do you like best about the product?
First: Extremely effective onboarding (kudos to JB and Jeff!), Second: Extremely powerful product (overpowers Athena by far), Third: Totally friendly user and full of important features to keep track of my jobs and data teams performance, Fourth: easy to deploy and integrate with several services and our data stack.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far i have nothing to complain about it. It got everything we need and lots of powerful features as a plus that improve our operations and enable many iniciatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At Inter we're facing a new chapter with Trino, where we can effectively democratize our data at a lower cost (compared to Athena and other platforms), all of this with high performance and with no friction with non-tech users. It is taking our data team to another level, enabling the data culture to rise and propagate through all squads and business areas.
Good product
this product was very powerful. very fast query engine for our data warehouse, accelerate our analysis journey from very beginning.
