Intuitive and Easy Document Sharing with Room for Notification Improvement

  • April 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like using Dropbox to share documents with clients and colleagues. It helps me send documents securely and keeps them in a central location. It's easy to use, and most people can intuitively figure it out, which means they're more willing to use it. The initial setup was pretty easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it doesn't send enough notifications about things being uploaded or downloaded, or they send too many notifications. I wish it would always send notifications when documents are uploaded or downloaded but not send useless end of the day emails that summarize what we already received throughout the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to share documents with clients and colleagues, ensuring they are sent securely and stored in a central location.

Classroom Collaboration

  • April 28, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
As a medical student, I use Dropbox to share my notes and PowerPoint presentations with my classmates. It lets me upload my work quickly and download my classmates’ presentations to my tablet in high definition. I also appreciate the search feature, which makes it easy to find specific content across a large number of files. This is especially helpful when I’m studying for tests and need to review a particular topic without wasting time digging through folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the free storage capacity were larger, or that there were a discounted student price. Unfortunately, my institution doesn’t subscribe to Dropbox, so I’m limited in how much I can store in my account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of having to spend excessive time sharing files via email or downloading them from Google Drive. In my experience, the download speed on Dropbox is significantly faster than any other sharing platform I’ve used, which saves me a lot of time. As a busy student, that time savings really makes a difference.

Wonderful! Highly useful

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox and Dropbox Replay have been a huge part of streamlining my workflow, especially as someone working with video content. Beyond just storage, Replay has made the feedback process so much more efficient—I’m able to have clients leave comments directly on specific moments in a film, which eliminates confusion and saves a lot of back-and-forth.

Dropbox overall keeps everything organized and accessible across my devices, and I love how easy it is to manage different versions of projects without things getting messy. Delivering final films to clients is also incredibly simple—I can just send a clean, professional link rather than dealing with large attachments or multiple platforms.

Together, they’ve made my process more seamless, collaborative, and professional, both on my end and for my clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this time. I have no complaints
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to review films within my team!

Effortless Collaboration, but Syncing Could Improve

  • April 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Dropbox for its ease of use and the accessibility it offers, allowing me to access documents from any device and from anywhere with just one account. I find the cloud storage features particularly useful, along with the ability to share a Dropbox folder with multiple users. The initial setup was super easy, which is a big plus for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime Dropbox is a little slow to sync and if it doesn't sync right on one device I can access the most updated version on another device. Sometimes it doesn't sync after updating a document and then when I try to access the same document on another device I get the old version. I then have to go back to the previous device and manually hit the sync button.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox lets me access documents from anywhere and is easy to use, allowing access from any device with one account.

Good if you can work around the limitations

  • April 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox allows me to move files between remote workers and clients, and provides a unique set of tools for collaboration that aren’t available elsewhere
What do you dislike about the product?
There are arbitrary limitations designed to force an upgrade, as well as poor performance with the “easiest” options. There were bizarre errors when I first started using replay and support was slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting files to remote workers, and collaboratively reviewing works in progress remotely

NO MORE FILING CABINET

  • April 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has been a game changer for my company. I have been using it for about 10 years now. Once I got used to using it and trusting that my documents were safe, I got rid of the filing cabinet and it was so freeing. Also being able to scan documents from my phone allows me to work anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that it is not free. However, very reasonably priced considering what a great tool it is for my company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more filling cabinet means much less paper to deal with. Dropbox gives me peace of mind regarding my documents.

Simple, Reliable Syncing That “Just Works”—But Pricing Feels Steep

  • April 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Dropbox is how simple and reliable it makes syncing files across devices.

I can drop a file into a folder on my computer and it automatically appears on my phone, tablet, or another computer—no extra steps. That “it just works” feeling is what helped it stand out early on, and it’s also why people still stick with it today.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing feels steep, the free tier is limited, and it can eat up local storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
you can get your files anywhere, share them instantly, and avoid losing important data.

Dropbox is easy to understand and powerful tool
What do you dislike about the product?
