I don't use it much. The free allocation is small and I can buy storage elsewhere cheaper.
What do you like best about the product?
I like it's convenience and wide adoption.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is a little high. I have less expensive alternatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing small files with customers.
Basic, but does the job
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Dropbox since the early days. They use to bump up your free storage every time you installed it on another device, or got someone to sign up. They've built it up a lot since the early days, but I kind of like the simplicity of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Collaboration can get confusing; I've had collaborators delete my files because it takes up space of both of our boxes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I keep many of my personal files in my Dropbox so that whenever I get a new PC, I don't need to manually copy those files.
The transfer feature makes sharing files easier
What do you like best about the product?
I use it to share files with my clients and some files can be large. Using Dropbox and the transfer feature helps me keep track when customers view the documents as well as allow a place for them to view the files.
What do you dislike about the product?
After using drop box for a few years, I really haven't noticed any downsides to the product. It's very straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to share large confidential files with my clients and also it allows us to keep track of the work we have completed as well as what we have sent to the client, which helps us with our records.
Long-time Loyal Drop Box user
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Dropbox is the ease of use. Just being able to drag and drop files from desktop to cloud and have full access on-the-go, including mobile, makes Dropbox my favorite storage and file-sharing app.
I also really like the ability to make files cloud-only. I don't need all of my photos on my desktop or phone so long as I know I can have access to them
I also really like the ability to make files cloud-only. I don't need all of my photos on my desktop or phone so long as I know I can have access to them
What do you dislike about the product?
My only real beef is not being able to see thumbnails when I've made files 'cloud-only.' It means I have to download the file to see if it's the file I want to download. That's an ongoing issue that I would love to see resolved... and it's one that could lose me if another service had that solved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly it's access to files I use frequently - texts, images, videos, audio. I use it for collaboration and feedback, but it's more important as back-up and filesharing for me.
Convenient storage
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to upload and can create links of files to share with others
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of free storage is too low for me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps reduce the space of file that can be saved on my laptop, I can access those files from anywhere and be able to organize my files as if they are on a computer
Dropbox provides me with backup and accessibility
What do you like best about the product?
I have immediate access to my files from anywhere, mobile or workstation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I would classify as least helpful. Every feature I use is significantly helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am retired and no longer involved in business, but my many activities and volunteer organization data are always at my fingertips. Whether it is for storing files and data, or instant retrieval of files and data, I rely on Dropbox and its well-organized interface.
Trusted, easy to use cloud sharing tool
What do you like best about the product?
Its convenient to use on any platform. I've used it for maybe a decade now across a number of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of any dislikes now. At one time, I felt starting dropbox at bootup slowed down my machine, but these days I don't think that's a problem. Not an issue on mac at all.
