Decent for File Sharing, Needs Microsoft Integration Improvement

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Dropbox for its ease of setup and use, especially for someone who isn't tech-literate. The process of storing and sharing files with teams, both internal and external, is straightforward, making it a reliable option for collaborating across organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Dropbox's integration with Microsoft to be problematic. Editing documents requires downloading and re-uploading them, which is cumbersome. I prefer using Microsoft SharePoint for editing Word documents as it offers a more seamless experience within the Microsoft ecosystem. This lack of integration makes Dropbox more of a secondary option for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Dropbox essential for easy file sharing and storage with teams, especially external ones, due to its well-known and accessible platform. However, the poor Microsoft integration limits its functionality for document editing directly.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for about two months, and I appreciate how it handles both personal and work files, making it indispensable for all my needs. I was initially drawn in by a creative cloud offer at a promotional price, which prompted me to make the switch from Google Drive due to the many benefits Dropbox offered. One of the things I love about Dropbox is its super easy setup process, even when transferring files from Google Drive, which required minimal effort. The convenience of having my files accessible on the go makes it invaluable. Dropbox excels in organization and provides an easy syncing experience, which is a significant advantage for me. I also find the feature that allows previews and the ability to open PDFs and other documents directly from the Dropbox website very neat and useful. Its quick and efficient performance during use stands out, as it syncs only the changes in files rather than resyncing everything, enhancing its efficiency. This efficiency and ease of use are pivotal, and I would definitely buy Dropbox again for this reason. Finally, I am so satisfied with the service that I rate my likelihood of recommending Dropbox to others as a perfect 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer to have a better interface where I could download an app directly to my computer to access all functionalities, rather than switching to a specific website for certain features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for file organization and easy synchronization, benefiting from having my files accessible on the go. It syncs changes quickly without resyncing everything, which makes it efficient and fast for my work.

I appreciate Dropbox for its ease of use and usability, which has made it an essential tool for over a decade. Its automatic sync feature is invaluable, allowing me seamless access to files and documents across devices. I love the convenience it provides by enabling easy backups and allowing me to store and access photos from my phone with minimal effort. The ability to generate links for large files, such as videos, simplifies sharing, and adds to its usefulness. Dropbox’s integration with macOS further enhances my experience, making file management more efficient. The reliability of its sync and the ease of sharing links to large files are standout benefits that keep me committed to using Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy and straightforward the setup process was when I first started using Dropbox. It made the transition seamless. Dropbox’s quick and easy file sharing is the most useful feature for me. I love how it allows me to effortlessly share files with others. This functionality has been the primary reason I use Dropbox, as it enhances my workflow by enabling smooth collaboration. The effectiveness of this tool is also reflected in my likelihood to recommend it to others, which I rated an eight out of ten.
