A solid solution for document sharing and repository
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is an industry standard solution, I think it exceeds the Microsoft and google ones, by it's versatility accross multiple computers or platforms.. I had to use 4 laptops and a phone at once.. and it all gets updated and refreshed.. IT's as reliable as reliable can get.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really question Dropbox pricing practices, First time pricing or offers are so aggressive than compared to websites, the competitors aren't as price gauging as much which is very problematic because nobody wants to deal with a 2TB file transfer.. Have a transparent multi-year pricing.. Not a year to year negotiation where I have to keep looking for the right coupon

Dropbox Has Been So Helpful
What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to instantly sync my files across devices and revert documents to old versions if something is changed in error. The iPhone photo syncing is particularly crucial.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost for amount of terrabytes is more than I would like. It would be best if the Dropbox app allowed better live editing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox permits me to collaborate in real time and with delayed edits.
A must-have for file sharing and storage
What do you like best about the product?
I mainly use Dropbox to be able to store and share files between devices. I've been using it for years now and have it on 2 pcs and the app on my phone. For the most part, Dropbox is used to share files across all my devices. It definitely has a friendly user face and very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing against it. Overall a great product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing files across devices and sharing them with other people. I benefit from this by seemlessly going between 3 different devices and keeping important files across all 3.
Dropbox is a reliable and a good way to transfer files
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox does what it says on the tin. I use it to send and receive large video and audio files as part of my work, and it works well most of the time. A lot will depend on the stability of your internet connection. If you have particularly large files, you need a very high speed upload (fiber) and a wired connection. With those elements in place your uploads will be relatively smooth.
Do not , I repeat, DO NOT upload folders of video files! If there is any momentary stutter or disruption of your upload you'll have to do it all overagain. It can be a painstaking process, but only upload larger files one at a time. That way if there is a momentary issue, you only have to redo one of your uploads. Large folders rarely upload without a hiccup.
For day to day file transfers it's great. I use it for this regularly with no issues. For larger files over wifi not a good option.

What do you dislike about the product?
Issues come withn you're uploading large - typically raw footage - files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for exchange of large files with editors, shooters, sound mixers, etc.
Very useful but occasional problems
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is synonymous with file transfers and sharing folders so people instantly are familiar with the concept, branding, and how the system works. Very good download speeds. I use it almost daily to transfer large video files back and forth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upload speeds can be inconsistent. It can be confusing to know at a given moment whether you're sharing a single file, the entire folder containing that file, or something in between. Some more intuitive visual clues would be nice.
I also don't really like using the integration into your computer's file system because it's too easy to have all your free space get eaten up if someone else uploads a giant file, etc. I can see how it would be useful but it causes too many headaches in my case. The web interface works fine for my purposes.
