Longtime user -- easy file sharing!

  • March 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like most about Dropbox is the ability to share large files and folders with clients and friends without having to send the files via email. It's very easy to get a link to share or to send a share notification directly via Dropbox. I owned a communication business for 15 years (and still have my Dropbox account for personal use), and sharing large design files and videos was a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback I can think of is that the person receiving links to shared files by default is asked to set up a Dropbox account, if they have never used it before. That scares people off sometimes, even though there is nothing to fear. And if they have used it before but have a free account, they need to have room on their accounts to be able to download the files. There is a way to work around this, but if users aren't familiar with Dropbox, it's not obvious at first glance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having owned a creative business, I often needed to share large files with clients. While I have recently closed my business, I still use Dropbox to share large amounts of photos with friends without the cumbersome need to email them. Dropbox makes sharing files a breeze.

Dropbox - Simplify the Complex

  • March 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simply that it just works. The automated syncing between my computers and the web is seemless. I've been using Dropbox for many years and it is my single source of truth and backup security. I never have to think about whether my files and data are safe, I know I can access them from anywhere on any device. The reisk of hardware failure and loosing a hard drive are no longer a concern
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything about Dropbox that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Never having to worry or think about where my data is and if its safe and accessible.
