Truly a lifesaver when things become critical
What do you like best about the product?
- Large storage: with 2TBs of storage space, I never need to worry about backups not working anymore and losing access to my files.
- File differences: worked on documents or code and need to revert back to few iterations prior? With Dropbox, I have the peace of mind that I can revert to the old version whenever needed.
- Selective syncing: for years now I have the ability to pick and choose which files I want to be stored locally and which I keep in the cloud only, which helps me save space on my computer instead of having to purchase more disk space. And since Dropbox smartly detects when certain files weren't in use for a while and unloads them automatically till th next time I need them, I don't even have to go through the ordeal of reviewing the file system manually every now and then. I just know that Dropbox takes the bulk of these responsibilities so that I don't run out of space!
- Billing flexibilities: I've had an issue with my credit cards more times than I'm comfortable admitting, but each time Dropbox kept my account safe until I resolved the issue and could pay the bill. That's a convenience not many subscription services allow, and I certainly appreciate it.
- File sharing: folders and files need to be shared with a person or group of people? No worries, just copy the link and send it over!
- Syncing state in filesystem: it's really convenient that I can actually see which files have finished syncing or are still in progress just by glancing at the list view in my Finder window.

- Pricing: while the value per price is really great for me, I have a hard time converting other people in my company to Dropbox just because there are cheaper options out there, even if they dont cover all the invaluable services Dropbox offers.

I can sync all my documents and view it on laptop, phone, app. Its just so convenient to use.

The free storage is way too low compared to other platforms which offer way higher storage

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a sophisticated storage. Can be used both online and offline. Automatic synchronization takes place. Can be used for free. There are premium packages for more storage. Files can be saved very easily. Easy to use. Can be used on all types of devices, mobile or computer. Easy to implement, easy to understand usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The premium package seems more expensive. It requires separate internet to use it. Customer support seems a little difficult to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Life has become immensely easier with Dropbox. Gone are the days of using pen drives for storing files or for other uses. Dropbox provides a smart solution to that. There is no hassle of keeping a pen drive with it, and it can be used both offline and online. What's more, Dropbox can be used on three devices simultaneously, providing maximum convenience. The features of Dropbox are incredibly easy to understand, and the usage rules are simple. Custom plans can be purchased based on my storage needs. Dropbox has helped me immensely in keeping my files safe for a lifetime, and I rely on it all the time.

Dropbox allows me to seamlessly access my files across my devices but also had enough security controls to prevent me from accessing it from a new device.

I dislike how expensive some of the ongoing plans are but the free plans suit me

It's helping me store my photos and audio files and videos. Content I haven't used in years but it keeps it backed up there.
Saved so much effort, so many times
What do you like best about the product?
I am a researcher in theoretical physics. The number of times I have accidentally overwritten results, but nevertheless been able to recover them using Dropbox because of version history is almost innumerable.

At some point they shortened version history.

I don't like that if I want immediate access to a Dropbox file, I have to store it on my hard drive as well—I wish I could just store them in the Cloud and leave them there, but access them as needed without needing to download a copy onto my device
