Every Day is a Dropbox Day

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox's sync across devices and computers is invaluable. Save a file on one, find it on another. Almost instantly! While this isn’t a unique feature, it's one that works without miss like other cloud storage systems we've tried.
What do you dislike about the product?
What we dislike about Dropbox is that sometimes doesn't always recognize saving certain files via share apps. This isn’t Dropbox's fault, but poor third party implementations of its features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of having our files in the cloud and backing up offsite essential files.

Effortless File Sharing, Needs Better Cloud-Desktop Sync

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that I can access Dropbox from anywhere, which helps keep my desktop running quicker because I don't have to store files locally. I can share folders or files easily with different contractors or team members. Sharing a design with someone is super accessible without the hassle of emailing things back and forth or files being stuck due to long download times. Also, compared to when we were using Google Drive, Dropbox offers more capability. The initial setup was super easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration between the cloud version and the desktop version is sometimes a little confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to keep my desktop running quicker by storing everything off of it, access files anywhere, and share designs easily, avoiding long email transfers.

What do you like best about the product?
First it is easy to use from uploading whatever files you want and then organizing them is a very simple thingas well. One of my favorite things is the fact that I can share individual files or folders with just a link. I can select what users have permissions to wdit or not. Dropbox is easy for a beginner or a professional. Ive been using dropbox way before cellphones and all there other clouds. Drop box has always been there.others come and go. I use my Dropbox for what is important to me. I made sure every computer i installed windows on had a Dropbox on the desktop. The ease of file sharrong and the security cant be beat in my opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can remember.
Never had any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transferring files from one pc to another without direct hook up or a memory stick.

Faithful Companion

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that dropbox can sync the most up-to-date files between ALL my devices,as well as when I'm logged into my account from the internet, made my years with Dropbox irreplaceable. I love how Dropbox can seemlessly be used to save Word and Excel files in DocToGo app, made graduate school much easier. I could open an academic paper from DropBox in the library, edit it in on the subway or while waiting in line somewhere using DocsToGo and save all changes in Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to access files on another person' dropbox account, their dropbox storage amount would merge with mine, putting my files either near, at, or beyond storage capacity. Unless I download and save their individual files to my dropbox storage, their files should not be merged with mine because they are comepletely different accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't know

Love the integrations

What do you like best about the product?
There are lots of similar solutions out there, but because Dropbox was (one of) the first easy cloud storage solutions, there are several apps that integrate Dropbox seamlessly. I use it to sync important files across seferal devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing plans don't completely align to my needs. I wish there were more tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox makes it easy to access files on several devices, and share files with others.

Discord has some benefits but...

What do you like best about the product?
I really like using dropbox because of it's ease of use and some of the features it has under the lower paid tier.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of the features that dropbox provides for users at the Beta stage, turn into extra features that cost more. The issue here, is that you already get used to them and then you need to pay extra...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to share content and keep it organized

Dropbox - Seamless Integration Across Multiple Devices Running in Different OS

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using the paid version of Dropbox for the past six years. The primary reason for using Dropbox is because the multiple devices I use run on different operating systems. My workstation runs on Linux, my office laptop on macOS, my personal laptop on Windows, and my phone on Android. Without Dropbox, maintaining files would have been a nightmare, as other options available in the market like OneDrive and Google Drive don't offer a Unix version. Additionally, they are costlier compared to Dropbox. I can be assured of one thing: Dropbox will stay with me until my death. Thanks, Dropbox. This is from the heart of a humble user.
What do you dislike about the product?
None till now, thats the reason for using it for 6 years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary reason I use Dropbox is that the multiple devices I operate run on different operating systems. My workstation runs on Linux, my office laptop on macOS, my personal laptop on Windows, and my phone on Android. Without Dropbox, file maintenance would have been a nightmare, as other market options like OneDrive and Google Drive don't offer a Unix version. I particularly appreciate the Selective Sync feature, which helps save space. This feature allows users to choose specific folders to sync from all available folders. Additionally, I've never experienced file corruption with Dropbox; it intelligently creates copies in case of logging conflicts. I also appreciate Dropbox's integration with Microsoft Word, though I don't use it often.
