  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is way better than Google Drive. It is also cheaper. Very much easier to use. I've been using Dropbox since 2010 and there's no looking back.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing to not like about Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a photographer. Dropbox solved my storage and cloud-sharing problems. It is so much easier to upload and share content on Dropbox.

On and Off again user

What do you like best about the product?
In general its pretty simple to use with apps via the web, mobile and a desktop app. I have stored files in Dropbox for what feels like more than 10 years.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I forget I have it. I do get ocassional emails that are basically the same email over and over again. I don't really like that some of the photos and docs feel like they've been downsized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great to use with folks who are unfamiliar with or who do not have or want a Google Apps account. It also is pretty easy to save documents to it when I remember it.

Dropbox has streamlined our office processes

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has made my team extremely efficient, saving us invaluable time and therefore making us much more productive. It's simple to use and we use it everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of time it takes to update all my different Dropboxes after an upload. However, that may be due to our office's slow internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a team, we can work remotely from each other while sharing in real time with Dropbox.

Good solution to cloud storage

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Capacity to sync data across various OS and devices, free access to Microsoft office products within Dropbox, spacious data allowances
What do you dislike about the product?
It is an additional app that must be scheduled/programmed to back up data in addition to other devices' build in cloud back up. Can be tricky to navigate on different devices due to differences in default views.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More convenient data/documentation syncing and sharing across various platforms and systems.

Essential tool for anyone

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of sync, available on every platform. It's an incredible utility that everyone needs. I use Dropbox practically every day for file sharing, backing up important documents, and with Logseq for my personal notes. There are other similar tools like Google Drive and OneDrive, but I find Dropbox to be the easiest, fastest, and most reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was some kind of very low cost or one-time paymen plan to increase storage just a little bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backind up, transferring, and automatically syncing any file between my desktop, laptop, and phone.

Great for Small Teams, Struggles at Scale

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The seamless syncing of files from local devices to the cloud is indispensable. I haven't found an easier way to transfer work that's more complicated than a Google doc between my laptop, my desktop, and my phone.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using it in a larger company of over 100 people, boxes and files frequently fell out of sync. Also, people with less tech savviness would sometimes share links as local file paths, meaning we'd have to translate them to find the files. Not to mention the several times that an admin had to fix the company Dropbox because somebody accidentally deleted an entire division's folder. We ultimately ended up switching entirely over to Google Drive, which offered a more seamless sharing experience at the cost of the extra flexibility of file types that Dropbox offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to work on the same design files on multiple devices, including mobile devices. Dropbox helps me keep these files all in sync, and as long as I'm online I can seamlessly hop from my desktop to my tablet and back without even noticing a sync happening.
