Great solution when computing needs cross platforms, eg. Desktop computer, Laptop, Phone, iPad, etc.
What do you like best about the product?
A single solution for sharing files of any kind across multiple platforms automatically (or otherwise if you wish). I use 2 iMacs (1 for office work, 1 for music), a MacBookAir and 2 iPads. Dropbox makes it easy to integrate these into a "single version of the truth" repository.. Dropbox is very easy to set up and use. I use it daily and depend upon it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced any downsides and, much to its credit, have not had to use customer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My office is in my home. That means working at my desk, or the counter in the kitchen/dinette, or on an outside deck, or anywhere in the world on my iPhone.
Dropbox helps me access my files from anywhere
What do you like best about the product?
The two most helpful things about Dropbox are the ability to access my files from anywhere in the world and any device, as well as the piece of mind that comes with having those files backed up to the cloud. That way, even if one of my devices is lost or destroyed, That data is safely stored in a third location.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Dropbox is that a free account doesn't give you very much space. If you're going to be a power user, or particularly if you're going to be dealing with large file sizes or a particularly large amount of files, you'll likely need to pay for some level of subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me to view and edit my files from any device, anywhere in the world. It makes it convenient to have instant access to my data without requiring a specific device.

I wish that it had photo functionality like Google Photos

Endless space
What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can keep my pictures of holidays and events out in seperate folders in a secure loctaion. I am a sucker for breaking phones, so having them all backed up and no taking any space on my phone (keeping it fast and memory optimised) is a massive plus! You can also share folders with specific family members so you can have them drop pictures into the seperate folders. I frequently use my dropbox folders as I need to use my pictures and videos a lot due to me video editing, so it is a nice base to have them all in once space. The software is easy to use and very accomodating for people with limited technological experience, its a case of dragging and dropping files. If you do struggle with anything, their customer service is top notch, you do not have to wait long, and they are always happy to help answer any questions, their FAQ board is full with typical issues! Have fun saving your memories!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the upload speed can be long for video files, as I am a videographer, but I'm guessing that is down to upload speed! Other than that, it says what it does on the tin
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of going from once place to another. I travel a lot due to my video editing career, so I need my files on the go, however keeping a massive amount of 50MB videos on my laptop can slow it down, and then when I go to render my video, it would freeze my adobe premier pro or after affects. Dropping the files frop dropbox allows me to frequently chop and change between my computer and my laptop with ease.
Integral to my small business
What do you like best about the product?
As a small business owner who frequently travels, it's brilliant to have all my documents available in the cloud. I can access them on the go & from any device. It's easy to use & great for sharing files with colleagues & clients. Highly recommended!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any issues with Dropbox at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is making collaboration even easier with a range of new initiatives. It was already very easy to use but I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.
Easy to use, no mucking around
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to share files/folders with colleagues external to my workplace; whereas other cloud drives require more mucking around to share with different domain name accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
No issues with Dropbox. Easy to use desktop and phone app.

Essential workflow for managing client projects
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has effective file management and sharing tools with good attention to workgroup management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with MacOS for backup and for remote folders requires more workshopping by Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I iterate documents and share large media projects with remote teams for collaborations, approvals, and short-term repository for deliverables.

Easy access that you can find it through the my computer

refreshing time, sometimes it takes hours to finally you can see the updated file, the software is not user friendly but I get access to my files just through My Computer

We can access to the files and data by sharing the folder instead of emailing everything over and over

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Dropbox for many years – as long as it's been out pretty much. I love that I can just upload files there and know that they're going to be safe. And then I can access them from where I am – my phone or my computer or even a Friends computer. It makes it really easy and convenient. It's also very affordable! I tell all my friends about Dropbox!

Storage on personal computers

I've used Dropbox for years as a graphic designer, mostly for their ease of sharing files and folders to other people.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price keeps rising, which is disappointing given the features generally only get upgraded on the higher tiers, so the cheaper plans just get more expensive with no real added value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is perfect for sharing my clients files with them in way that is easy for us both to access and keep track of any changes
