Dropbox top service

  • December 12, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use dropbox for a small team of 15/20 people.
We do like it for the easy set-up and good prices. It's easy for us to host everything in the cloud.
We prefer Dropbox better than any other services that almost provide the same.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are not paying for it, a 2GB storage limit can be too small for specific users.
You will have more than enough if you pay for the cheapest package.
We would love to see even more packages for lower prices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of having all the sizes on your computer, it's better to have it in the cloud.
To keep your computer optimized and not the issues with sharing files with others.

Easy photo sharing

  • December 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox makes it very easy to send many photos, store them and organize them by date or content. Then I can delete them from my device to free up storage. Others can also access my dropbox files, or I can send them with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were times that it seemed less advanced or very basic, making it feel less secure than other apps. However, after using it more, I realized it was great and just what I needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking many photos of event attendees was a significant part of our business. Sharing these photos with content/social media admins was challenging when we had to send them individually directly from our devices. The dropbox file storage and sharing made this much easier and allow admins to access it as needed.

Excellent digital file storage facility on the cloud

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is free, making it accessible to everyone regardless of their whereabouts. It's downloadable and accessible on many devices that can run Windows, Android, or iOS operating systems. It allows two gigabytes of cloud storage space, where you can upload, edit, and share files. You can invite and grant other users access to specific folders, which will authorize them to edit files as they wish and upload their files to your cloud storage. For sharing files, this is an excellent alternative to sharing the URL. It's also much safer as you don't risk the link falling into the wrong hands. Due to its high universal usage, Dropbox can be integrated with many applications today for convenience. These applications include Zoom, Asana, Webex, Trello, etc., bolstering your productivity. It's easily accessible as one does not need an account on Dropbox to receive or send files. While the traditional method to share files is to upload them to your storage first, Dropbox offers an alternative way to send files if there's not enough space. You can send files directly to the recipient's Dropbox, skipping the procedure of uploading them to your storage altogether. Even if the file's size is larger than what your storage can accommodate, you can still send them if the recipient has enough space to receive them. Dropbox provides an easy way to work on documents, spreadsheets, and more, as you can create one from scratch. You can choose Google or Microsoft as your source and begin working immediately, alone or in a group. Dropbox autosaves the content, so there's no data loss if your computer is shut down unexpectedly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Dropbox is that the downloadable Dropbox application lacks several features. For instance, if you delete a file from your storage using a Windows, Android, or iOS application, the only way to restore it is by logging into Dropbox on your web browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has been a purposeful application, making it convenient to manage files. Using the cloud as the medium, we can create backups of important work files relating to various projects and day-to-day finances. We can share files during group coding sessions as we work from home. An interconnecting medium such as Dropbox allows us to collaborate on the cloud, so there's no additional file sharing required as the data is saved and available to download anytime. Its free accessibility makes sharing PDFs and documents easier with clients, even if they're not active users of Dropbox. Its open ecosystem allows seamless integrations with many applications we use daily, like Zoom, Trello, etc. We can reduce the number of running applications by one, as integrating Dropbox allows us to share files from the other applications. Unlike Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox is much faster and has no limits, making it more versatile for everyday use cases.

I have used DropBox for 2 years in my position as a research assistant.

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox does an excellent job of connecting people across all different projects. I especially enjoy the tag feature which allows me to share work with my peers seamlessly and efficiently. I also appreciate the connection of Dropbox to Microsoft Office as well as Google documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the Dropbox interface has a propensity to lag on older devices. I've noticed this a lot with older desktops or even older laptops, where students have particular difficulty navigating Dropbox compared to other cloud-based programs (like Google Drive).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is a crucial tool that allows me to share data and findings with my peers. I find that it is very useful for this function and makes organization very simple. It's a great way to collaborate, especially when there is a high volume of information to organize and share.

A highly compatible application.

What do you like best about the product?
Currently, the most mainstream and reliable solution is to select a stable online disk for file synchronization. However, most online disks do not support platforms with fewer users, such as Mac, Linux, WindowsPhone, etc., so choosing a network disk that supports full platform synchronization becomes the top priority.

When we talk about full platform synchronization, we often think of Dropbox, which supports mainstream platforms such as Windows, Mac, Linux, Ios, Android, and win10mobile.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox is not accessible in some countries or regions, and the transmission speed cannot be guaranteed. If servers can be added in these areas, the user experience will be better, and the number of users will increase accordingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of file synchronization on different terminals, especially some non mainstream operating systems. When I use different computers or mobile devices, I don't need to bring any hardware to transfer files, just use Dropbox, which is very convenient.
