Dropbox Basic Plan

  • October 05, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
When my friends and I would go on trips, we'd use dropbox to share our photos from the trips. It was easy to use, but to be honest, not much different than using iCloud, Google Drive / Google Photos. For businesses, it's a great source for sharing documents and receiving signatures.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost. If we can save in areas, then we'll save. Depending on how long you need your documents for, you may be okay with just getting the Basic Plan and not needing to expand your storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Emails will restrict how large of a file you can share, and it's easier to view multiple files at one time.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Dropbox is how it ables you to send files that are too large to be sent in an email.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I don't dislike and think it can be improved is how links expire. It will be great if the link don't expire.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that dropbox helps me in is that it makes it very easy to send large files that are too big to be attached in an email.

Using Dropbox as a Front-end Developer

  • October 05, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My work as a front-end developer would not be possible without Dropbox. In addition to streamlining my process, its seamless file-sharing and collaboration tools have improved team communication and project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Dropbox has numerous benefits for front-end developers, it also has certain disadvantages. The restricted storage space in the free version is one of the main problems I've run with, which can be constrictive for larger projects with numerous media assets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox handles a number of important issues that are really helpful to me as a front-end developer. It addresses the issue of seamless file sharing and collaboration in the first place. No matter where my team members and clients are located, I can simply share design mockups, code samples, and project documents with them.

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is pretty user friendly, and offers a cross os-platform compatibility. Its seamless file synchronization and version is helpful in maintaining data on cloud. We can easily share files among my peers easily as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free storage is very less - 2GB only. This is leess compared to other cloud providers. Its also a bit pricey as compared to other cloud storage providers. The only problem is everything is paid here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox offers me ease of data backup, and quick sharing. My data is safe and sound, and I am not afraid of losing all my data on my laptop

I like the fact that it allows transfer of huge quantities of files and it can be done with relative ease. Cutomer support is also really reponsonsive

Cloud Storage of Document at one Place

  • September 24, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
From synchronizing the information to offering liberal distributed storage, Dropbox could be the single objective for the entirety of your information. It offers hearty coordinated effort highlights, simple sharing, Document forming, monstrous capacity plans, and cross-stage similarity. Disconnected admittance to specific records makes it helpful to try and work without the Web. Outsider combinations improved its usefulness while improving it than its rivals.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few cons to involving Dropbox as it offers Restricted free space and could cause some security issues for a portion of its clients. The capacity plans it offers are somewhat more costly than other cutthroat stages. Upgrading free capacity or restricting the cost of capacity can improve it than most other distributed storage devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox assists me with dealing with every one of my information in one spot and makes it simple to work with the group. With its magnificent highlights and solid uptime execution it saves my time while making me more useful. The most amazing aspect of utilizing Dropbox is you can get to past document forms and recuperate erased things also.

Dropbox to OneDrive switch

  • September 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a nice free piece of software to use via web or mobile app. The free version, which I used in the past, doesn’t allow as much space as OneDrive. I also like the fact that OneDrive coordinates and works with other Microsoft items.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like the small, limited space Dropbox allows. I prefer the “more space” offered with OneDrive because the space limit can be reached fast if you use it frequently. I also do not like the fact that I can’t collaborate with other Microsoft items like One Drive – Dropbox is independent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox originally solved the issues of collaboration of documents, sharing documents for others to access, and uploading photos from site visits in the construction industry. I enjoyed using Dropbox until I reached my space limit (which happened fast).

Growing teams beware! Stay away from Dropbox

  • September 20, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
None, we were duped into believing it was flexible for growing teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox was not transparent in the limitations of its service. We subscribed to their solution thinking it will support our growing team, however, this proved to be an illusion.

We have built over 3 years worth of historical project data— complete with proper filing and linking to Dropbox.

This was all flushed to toilet when Dropbox limited our team’s access to folders. After multiple attempts to fix this with customer support for over a year, someone finally shared that we can only share up to 1,500 folders with team members.

That info wasn’t available when we subscribed to the service.

Instead, this info was hidden deep below the help center’s, in an old query “why I can’t create shared folder?”

It has caused major disruption in our daily work -- no one can upload files for a while now-- and customer support has not been helpful. Now we have to look for other flexible solutions and say goodbye to our 3 years worth of impressive historical data. All the file management and database based on Dropbox will be useless and leave an even worse problem in our organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Did not help us find a robust, flexible cloud content collaboration.
