What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to find my files quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer Support, you can't talk to anybody!!!!! I have two DB accounts and can't seem to get an answer how to merge them. I have a large amount of storage I am paying for on both and don't need it on one and can't seem to get rid of the smaller dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm not that adept at using it properly likely and could use some help with organization.

Fast, Reliable, and Incredibly Convenient

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who manages multiple projects and collaborates with cross-functional teams, Dropbox has become a key part of how I stay organized and efficient. The ability to store large files in the cloud has helped keep my computer running smoothly. I’ve noticed less strain on local storage, which translates to faster performance and fewer slowdowns during the workday.

Dropbox’s syncing is fast and reliable. Whether I’m working on a file from my laptop or switching to my phone during a meeting, I know the latest version will be ready and waiting. That kind of seamless access saves time and removes the need for manual transfers or version control headaches.

One of the features I appreciate most is how easy it is to share files with colleagues, vendors, and external partners. With just a few clicks, I can set up shared folders or send direct links with customized permissions. It’s secure, straightforward, and looks professional on the receiving end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes others are a little confused by the browser links that are shared. They think they have to create an account, but there is a download button available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is solving a few key problems for me—storage management, file accessibility, and collaboration. By moving large files off my hard drive and into the cloud, it’s helping my computer run faster and more efficiently. I no longer worry about constantly clearing space or dealing with slow performance during busy workdays.

It’s also making it much easier to access and organize files across multiple devices. Whether I’m working from my laptop at home or reviewing documents from my phone, everything is synced and up to date.

Finally, Dropbox makes file sharing simple and secure. I can easily collaborate with team members and external partners without having to send bulky email attachments or deal with version confusion. It keeps my workflow smooth and helps me stay focused on the work that matters most.

Essential tool for seamless academic collaboration

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a PhD student working across multiple devices and often collaborating with colleagues in different locations, Dropbox has made file sharing incredibly smooth. I no longer worry about version conflicts or lost data. The ability to access my research documents, figures, and datasets instantly—from home, lab, or on the go—is a huge productivity boost. I also like how it integrates well with other tools like Microsoft Office and allows easy commenting, which makes remote collaboration more interactive.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside I’ve noticed is that the storage limits on the free or lower-tier plans can be restrictive for students working with large datasets or multiple projects. Also, syncing can occasionally lag if internet speed isn’t great, and sometimes collaborators unfamiliar with Dropbox struggle with permissions. I wish there were more tailored academic/student features or pricing options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has helped me eliminate version control issues while collaborating on research with peers and professors across institutions. It ensures that I always have access to the latest version of datasets, drafts, and presentation files, whether I’m working from campus, home, or while traveling for conferences. This seamless access and secure backup system have significantly reduced stress and saved time in managing research materials. It also simplifies feedback and documentation exchange with my advisor and collaborators.

"A Reliable Tool for Business Collaboration, With Some Limitations"

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Whether I'm working on a project with team members across locations or sending files to a client, the ability to create shared folders, set permissions, and keep everything organized in one place saves a lot of time and back-and-forth. I also appreciate the automatic syncing across devices — I can start something on my laptop and pick it up on my phone without missing a beat. It's a reliable, user-friendly platform that keeps my workflow running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be frustrating when I'm trying to share large files—like project folders, videos, or high-resolution images—and the recipient either can't access them or runs into storage issues unless they upgrade their plan. This sometimes forces us to find workarounds or use alternative platforms, which interrupts the workflow. It would be great if Dropbox offered more flexibility for sharing large files with non-paid users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my business, it eliminates the need to email documents back and forth or worry about version control. I can easily store, access, and share files from anywhere, which is especially valuable when working remotely or with multiple collaborators. The ability to create shared folders, control access levels, and sync files in real time helps streamline communication, keep projects on track, and reduce errors caused by outdated versions. Overall, it saves time and keeps our workflow efficient and organized.
