Dropbox has been crucial for my business and personal storage

What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to use. As a designer, I use Dropbox primarily to send files to my clients. I love that I can also access it on the go using my phone. It's integrated on my Mac and iPhone so I can get to the folders wherever I am. I use it all of the time for accounting such as keeping all my receipts organised for my bookkeeper so it's definitely someting I will keep as part of my system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything I dislike about Dropbox. It's been convenient and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was traveling for personal reasons when a client requested for a file. I easily sent it to them from where I was without a computer and directly from my phone.

Dropbox is the best!!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact I can share files and make them accessible via direct share links to people. I use it weekly as I run a segment on a radio network dealing with radio archival material, and it just makes things easier when I can share the folder with my producer and have them access the audio directly without having to lay them on a memory stick or equivalent and then bring that in to them. It's brilliant!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides, even the free account has a generous data allowance which is really rare these days!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is solving the problem of having to place audio onto memory sticks and then having to remember to take that with me to wherever it is I may be going or who I'm meeting up with for exchange of files. One shared link, and access is instantly there. It's just brilliant!

Easy to use, safe knowing my photos are being automatically backed up

What do you like best about the product?
My phone is sycned and automatically backs up. Before using dropbox one day I lost my phone and all my photos were lost. Now I sync my phone to drop box and feel safer knowing all my memories are being automatically stored.

I also love the feature of signing documents so I can send proposals and gather client signatures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, it's so easy to use, and I've been a client for years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backs up my work and I can access it from a range of computers AND an app on my phone.

Easy to use, does its job well. But the file size limit (unless paid subscription) is a bummer.

Easy use across devices. syncs fast. a trusted brand prior to google drive's popularity
What do you dislike about the product?
file size limit (unless paid subscription)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure syncing of files across multiple devices, including smart phone and laptops. Has not been an issue for my EndNote library.

Easy to collaborate across users

  • February 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to share large files with collaborators and to be able to edit documents with collaborators without having the formatting altered.

Additionally, once, when a collaborator accidentally deleted the document we were working on Dropbox was able to retrieve it.
What do you dislike about the product?
My institution blocks our ability to use it from the computers there which is frustrating since I keep teaching materials on dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often want to share PPT slides with significant data with collaborators and this type of high memory files are otherwise difficult to send back and forth.

I like how easy Dropbox is to navigate and when I collaborate on papers with colleagues it does not change the formatting of those documents.

Unobtrusive, secure and reliable

What do you like best about the product?
It is multi platform, it works easily on all my devices and it allows me to select what to share and with who, controlling each step seamlessly
What do you dislike about the product?
Price is always a consideration when you have your very small business. Other Providers have mixed online storage with live collaboration tools MS Teams style. This would be an interesting mix! For example Zoom charges exorbitant prices for storage. They would be a good match
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interacting on large documents wiht people across the globe, singatures. I like that it is tailored for small people as well as large organizations

Invaluable

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Dropbox for around a decade now, relying on it daily for my freelancing work. Transferring and sharing files is effortless, requiring just a few clicks. Plus, expanding storage at no cost is an option. Uploading and downloading files are both fast and efficient, and installing the software is a breeze. I haven’t explored its integrations or technical support since I’ve never encountered any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing at all. But if I had to mention something, it would probably be the pricing—I just can’t afford even the cheapest plan! 😅
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seamlessly transferring files between locations without the need for a physical drive. Most importantly, securely backing up my files

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Dropbox because it helps me upload files (pictures, videos, etc.) and send them to people without any trouble.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it requires an internet connection. There could be a offline version that syncs when connected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is benefiting me by giving me a way to upload files that Gmail or other apps can't handle
